Week 10 of the college football season features a top-ten showdown in Salt Lake City, where No. 3 Utah (8-0) hosts No. 7 BYU (7-1) on Saturday, at noon ET. With the College Football Playoff odds picture taking shape, it is one of the marquee games on the slate. Elsewhere, SMU hosts Virginia Tech on Friday, at 7 p.m. ET.

We are publishing these early college football props ahead of the weekend, so each pick below comes with a target line rather than a posted price. Keep reading for my early CFB props for Week 10, including the best college football player props to target.

Best Week 10 College Football Player Props to Target

Early College Football Prop Pick #1: Devon Dampier Passing Yards vs. BYU

  • Pick: Devon Dampier Over 220.5 Passing Yards (target line)

Devon Dampier is Utah’s starting quarterback and has thrown for 1,876 yards through eight games, an average of 234.5 per contest. That puts his season average about 14 yards above our target.

He is also coming off a sharp outing where he went 22-for-29 for 260 yards with three touchdowns and one interception against Cincinnati, his third three-touchdown passing game in his last four.

The cushion is thin, though. If the BYU vs. Utah game script leans on the run or turns into a low-scoring grind, Dampier could fall short. My early college football prop pick is based on his passing volume, with the final price still important.

Early College Football Prop Pick #2: Kevin Jennings Anytime TD vs. Virginia Tech

  • Pick: Kevin Jennings Anytime Touchdown Scorer (confirm price)

Kevin Jennings is SMU’s starting quarterback, with 2,414 passing yards and 21 touchdown passes this season. Passing touchdowns do not count toward an anytime touchdown prop, though. This bet needs Jennings to find the end zone himself.

He has done it before, with rushing touchdowns against Missouri State and Boston College in SMU’s first five games. This is a situational play on a quarterback who can finish near the goal line, at home on a Friday night against Virginia Tech.

The risks are real. Jennings finished with minus-5 net rushing yards on 13 carries in the 30-27 loss at Syracuse, but threw for 351 yards and two scores. This is a longer shot that only makes sense at a plus price that remains to be confirmed. When lines are finally released, sign up with the bet365 promo code and score a bonus to use on this game.

Early College Football Prop Pick #3: Kyler Kasper Receiving Yards vs. Utah

  • Pick: Kyler Kasper Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (target line)

Kyler Kasper is an active part of BYU’s passing game, recording 57 or more receiving yards in three straight outings.

This is a difficult matchup against a National Championship odds contender. Utah ranks sixth in pass-efficiency defense, which makes 56.5 yards a real test.

The case for the over rests on game script. In a top-ten road game against an unbeaten opponent, BYU may need to throw to keep pace, and Kasper is one of the receivers in line to benefit. Only play it at the target line or better.
