As usual, Lane Kiffin is in the middle of it all, as he leads his LSU Tigers to face the program he just coached and spurned, the Ole Miss Rebels, in a battle between Top 10 teams.

Ole Miss has scored 41 points in each of its first two games. LSU brings a defense that has allowed 12 points and 221.5 yards per game, so the Rebels face a much different test than last week’s 41-9 win over Charlotte.

Prop Bet #1: Trinidad Chambliss Passing Yards

Chambliss has 561 passing yards and five touchdown passes through two games. He completed 23 of 26 attempts for 225 yards and two scores against Charlotte. Ole Miss did not need a large passing total to win that game comfortably.

Saturday should demand more from him. LSU has averaged 48 points through two games, which could require Ole Miss to keep throwing deeper into the second half. That possibility supports taking a passing milestone above Chambliss’s total from last week.

LSU’s pressure is the main obstacle. The Tigers have recorded 10 sacks through two games, and lost yardage can end drives before a quarterback gets enough attempts. Chambliss needs quick completions and sustained possessions to give this bet a chance.

I’m backing 280 or more passing yards, expecting Ole Miss to need its passing offense for four quarters. This is an alternate-yardage milestone, so exactly 280 yards wins. It is not an over-280.5 bet.

Prop Bet #2: Deuce Alexander Receiving Yards

Alexander has accumulated 235 receiving yards through two games. Against Charlotte, he caught all eight of his targets for 76 yards. That workload gives him a reasonable path to 80 without requiring one long touchdown reception to do all the work.

He finished four yards short of this milestone last week, but the pick rests on opportunity rather than how close he came. Another game with eight targets would provide several chances to move beyond 80, particularly if Ole Miss needs to throw late.

The tougher defense matters, and a repeat of last week’s perfect catch rate is not a given. I still prefer the plus-money receiving milestone to demanding a touchdown. Alexander can cash through a series of ordinary completions.

Prop Bet #3: Kewan Lacy Anytime Touchdown

Lacy rushed 13 times for 87 yards and two touchdowns against Charlotte. He has 148 rushing yards this season and has scored a rushing touchdown in 11 consecutive games, a streak that stretches back into 2025.

That scoring record is the strongest argument for the bet. Ole Miss does not need Lacy to produce a huge yardage total for him to finish a drive near the goal line. His two touchdowns last week came in a game in which he had only 13 carries.

At -240, this is the shortest-priced selection of the three. LSU’s defensive start makes it a more difficult assignment, but Lacy’s established scoring role is why I’m backing him to reach the end zone again. The streak supports the pick; it does not make a touchdown automatic.

LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt was listed as questionable Thursday after being doubtful Wednesday. That update does not confirm he will play. Check the final availability report before kickoff, since LSU’s offensive personnel could affect how this game develops.
