  • Adele is currently expected to sweep several categories
  • Who do the betting odds favor winning the major awards?

The very best in music from the last year will be recognized at the 2023 Grammy Awards this Sunday, February 5th.  The event will emanate live from Los Angeles and will air on CBS as well as stream on Paramount+ starting at 7 p.m. ET.

All signs point to the incredibly-decorated Adele sweeping many of the categories at the 65th installment of the annual awards ceremony.  Beyonce, Harry Styles and Taylor Swifts all had exceptional years as well and are realistic runner-ups for each of the awards.

Ahead of the 2023 Grammys, let’s look at who and what are currently expected to take home awards in four of the top categories according to the current betting odds.

Adele Favored to Win Song of the Year

Despite being released early on in the eligibility period, Adele’s “Easy on Me” has remained a smash hit for the past year-plus and is a safe bet for Song of the Year. Its critical acclaim led to it becoming the longest-running number one song by a female artist on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 this decade and a shoe-in to win this award.

Both versions of Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” are a solid second choice at +275, followed by Harry Styles’ “As It Was” at +600. As beloved as they were, “Easy on Me” has made more of an impact and will continue to receive heavy praise long after the Grammys are over.

Album of the Year Odds

Film Odds
Adele – 30 +115
Beyonce – Renaissance +180
Bad Bunny – Un Verano Sin Ti +400
Harry Styles – Harry’s House +400
Brandi Carlile – In These Silent Days +650
Kendrick Lamar – Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers +800
Lizzo – Special +3500
ABBA – Voyage +4500
Coldplay – Music of the Spheres +5000
Mary J. Blige – Good Morning Gorgeous +5000

Adele Favored to Win Album of the Year

If “Easy on Me” winds up winning Song of the Year, it’s only academic for Adele’s “30” album to emerge victorious in this category as well. It boasts “Oh My God” and “I Drink Wine” as well and served as a successful to “25” from 2015.

“30” is only rivaled by Beyonce’s “Renaissance” at +180 in the odds and should be considered just as strong of a favorite. It will be helped by Beyonce’s newly-announced tour centered around the album and all of its additional buzz as of late.

Best New Artist of the Year Odds

Film Odds
Latto -125
Anitta +275
Maneskin +600
Muni Long +700
Wet Long +800
Tobe Nwigwe +1200
Omar Apollo +1400
Molly Tuttle +2000
Samara Joy +2500
Domi & JD Beck +3000

Latto Favored to Win Best New Artist of the Year

Although it wasn’t nominated for Song of the Year, “Big Energy” was one of 2022’s biggest hits. Interestingly, its singer Latto was largely unknown prior to the song’s success, but winning Best New Artist would go a long way in making her more of a household name.

YouTube video

Latto is the best possible pick for this category with only Anitta coming close at +275. “Envolver” and “Lobby” earned her worldwide fame and caused her career to take off. Maneskin, Muni Long and Wet Long are also credible choices and make this category a bit more unpredictable than the others.

Record of the Year Odds

Film Odds
Easy on Me – Adele -110
As It Was – Harry Styles +225
About Damn Time – Lizzo +450
Break My Soul – Beyonce +550
Bad Habit – Steve Lacy +900
You and Me on the Rock – Brandi Carlile ft. Ludacris +1400
The Heart Part 5 – Kendrick Lamar +2500
Don’t Shut Me Down – ABBA +4000
Good Morning Gorgeous – Mary J. Blige +4000
Woman – Doja Cat +4000

Adele Favored to Win Record of the Year

Much like Song of the Year and Album of the Year, Record of the Year is bound to be taken home by Adele as well. “Easy on Me” has cemented its spot at the top of the odds at -100 and Harry Styles’ “As It Was” is a logical runner-up considering how popular it’s been for the past eight months.

YouTube video

There have been many top-notch albums throughout the last year with several of the other nominees having a fair chance at winning, but the 2023 Grammy Awards will be Adele’s to dominate, including Record of the Year.
