  • Wrestlemania 34 takes place on Sunday, April 8, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
  • Will Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon?
  • Is Roman Reigns the man to beat Brock Lesnar?

WWE’s biggest show of the year is just around the corner. Get ready for an all-day affair as Wrestlemania 34 will treat fans to seven hours of rasslin’ action! Better have a wheelbarrow of bean dip on standby.

After Royal Rumble 2018 officially kicked off the Road to Wrestlemania 34, Monday Night Raw’s Elimination Chamber 2018 added to the intrigue and SmackDown Live kept things rolling with Fastlane 2018. A lot of what we predicted on those cards came to fruition and so it’s time to put our successful prognostication skills to the test once more for the Super Bowl of Sports Entertainment.

With big names like Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar and possibly The Undertaker involved, this card is stacked from top to bottom with exciting matchups that could help elevate this year’s ‘Mania to one of the best ever.

It’s also one of the few WWE events that the top online betting sites allow you to wager on. The sportsbooks’ odds won’t be released until closer to April 8, though, so we have put together our own odds along with predicted winners for each matchup on “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns: Universal Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
ROMAN REIGNS 1/9
BROCK LESNAR (C) 9/1

This will be a very physical match and could also be the last time we see Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring again. We’re not exactly sure what the future holds for the “Beast Incarnate,” but outside of that, everything about this match is predictable.

We knew this was going to be Wrestlemania 34’s main event 365 days ago, and in real time, we watched the WWE creative team force feed Roman Reigns to the masses as the “next big thing.” In a matter of a year, Reigns defeated The Undertaker and John Cena; now Brock Lesnar will be the next notch on the Big Dog’s belt on his way to becoming the new Universal Champion.

Unlike the last time these two squared off three years ago, we will have a definite winner. Whether fans will embrace it remains to be seen, but at least the Universal Title will no longer be on a part-time performer.

Predicted Winner: Roman Reigns

AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: WWE Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
SHINSUKE NAKAMURA 3/7
AJ STYLES (C) 7/3

A lot of hardcore wrestling fans have wanted to see this matchup in the WWE. Why? Styles and Nakamura once faced each other in Japan and tore the house down at Wrestle Kingdom 10. They have great chemistry working together and their Wrestlemania match could legitimately steal the show. They are two of the best wrestlers in the world today and we are looking forward to seeing these two men lock horns once again.

Nakamura has been receiving a huge push. Just as we predicted, he won the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble and is going into ‘Mania with a ton of momentum. Styles has been a great champion, but with rumors of a possible roster shakeup that could see him heading to Raw, it is Nakamura’s time to win the WWE Championship and have what should be a classic Wrestlemania moment.

NOTE: AJ Styles was injured and has yet to be cleared by doctors.

Predicted Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Triple H & Stephanie McMahon vs. Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
RONDA ROUSEY & KURT ANGLE 1/9
TRIPLE H & STEPHANIE MCMAHON 9/1

Having Ronda Rousey make her wrestling debut in a mixed tag-team match is smart booking. The former UFC champ is still learning the craft, but having Kurt Angle in her corner will most definitely help. There is no way Rousey and Angle are going to lose this marquee debut match.

Expect to see Angle lock in the “Ankle Lock” on Triple H and Ronda lock an armbar on Stephanie simultaneously for the win.

Predicted Winner: Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka: Smackdown Women’s Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
ASUKA 1/4
CHARLOTTE FLAIR (C) 4/1

Asuka has been riding a pretty amazing undefeated streak. She won the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble, and with that, the power to face the Women’s Champion of her choosing. Asuka showed up on SmackDown Live and challenged current champ Charlotte, and now we are getting one of the most highly anticipated women’s matches in history.

Unless WWE creative throws a swerve in this match, Asuka will become champion and continue her streak of dominance.

Predicted Winner: Asuka

John Cena vs. The Undertaker

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
THE UNDERTAKER 1/1
JOHN CENA 1/1

Although not officially on the card, it appears that this match is happening. Cena vs. The Undertaker is a match many fans have wanted to see for a while now, even if it feels a few years too late.

There are rumors that The Undertaker could be coming back as his early 2000s American Badass persona. However ‘Taker decides to enter the ring, it will be odd seeing him back so soon, considering he had a nice retirement moment at last year’s ‘Mania.

‘Taker has already jobbed to a few guys the last couple of years and passed some torches. But this smells like the perfect way for the Deadman to go out on top in dramatic fashion. The masses seem to think Cena is the better bet, but we believe The Undertaker has one more sit-up surprise left in him.

Look for Undertaker to win and ride off on his motorcycle into the sunset and into 2019’s Hall of Fame class.

Predicted Winner: The Undertaker

The Miz (c) vs. Finn Bálor vs. Seth Rollins: Intercontinental Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
SETH ROLLINS 3/2
FINN BALOR 2/1
THE MIZ (C) 3/1

What a great triple-threat match between two faces and one heel. The Miz is the best heel currently in the WWE and is so close to breaking another Intercontinental Championship reign record. This is a tough match to call as the win could go to any one of these three men and there would be no complaints from us.

UPDATE: There was a possible leak from the WWE in their promo material for their huge 50-man Battle Royal in Saudi Arabia. It mentions a four-way Ladder Match where Seth Rollins defends his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz, Finn Balor, and Samoa Joe. There was also a tweet sent out from Belfast Arena that promotes WWE returning to Belfast, Ireland on May 10th. The tweet mentions that Finn Balor takes on Seth Rollins to try and become the new Intercontinental Champion.

All of this could be a swerve and plans can always change. However, those rumors do change the odds slightly but we are going to be stubborn and stick with our original pick of Finn Balor even if he is no longer the favorite.

Finn Bálor is due for a big push. In real life, Miz became a new father and is rumored to be taking some time off. Upon his return, he could end up in the Universal Title hunt or some other big program.

As great as Seth Rollins has been, and he does have a legitimate shot at winning and joining WWE’s Grand Slam champions club, we just feel it’s Finn Balor’s time to get over with the fans and have a big Wrestlemania moment.

Predicted Winner: Finn Bálor

Randy Orton (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev: United States Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
RUSEV 3/7
BOBBY ROODE 17/3
RANDY ORTON 9/1
JINDER MAHAL 19/1

It was a bit of a surprise when Randy Orton defeated Bobby Roode for the United States Championship at Fastlane. In doing so, Orton won the one title that eluded him throughout his career, and now he has joined the prestigious Grandslam Champions Club.

UPDATE: On the March 27th episode of SmackDown, Rusev entered this match to make it a fatal four-way. This changes everything including our odds.

This was such a lackluster feud, to begin with, and originally, we had Roode winning this matchup. Now with Rusev in the fold, we now have to make him the favorite to pick up the US Title. He is so over with the fans, that if the WWE wants to elevate not only his career but the title, it needs to be around the Bulgarian’s waist.

Predicted Winner: Rusev

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax: Raw Women’s Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
NIA JAX 3/17
ALEXA BLISS (C) 17/3

Can you believe that Alexa Bliss has had the Raw Women’s Championship since August of last year? She deserves all the credit in the world for her improvement on both the mic and in the ring. However, Nia Jax is tired of being her former friend’s pawn; once close allies have now become bitter enemies. No matter how much Bliss will try to throw one over her ex-buddy in this match, it will be all for naught.

It’s Nia Jax’s turn to shine. The “Irresistible Force” is over with the fans, and quite frankly she deserves to be champion. Look for Jax to finally dethrone Little Miss Bliss at ‘Mania.

Predicted Winner: Nia Jax

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon: If Zayn & Owens Lose They Remain Fired

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
KEVIN OWENS & SAMI ZAYN 1/3
DANIEL BRYAN & SHANE MCMAHON 3/1

UPDATE: This match was officially announced on March 27th’s SmackDown Live along with a new stipulation. If Owens and Zayn win they are reinstated and are no longer fired. If they lose, they will remain on the outs with the company.

It will be interesting to see what kind of health Shane McMahon is in as he was recently hospitalized for diverticulitis. What we do know is Daniel Bryan will be his tag team partner. Bryan has been cleared by WWE doctors and is ready to make his in-ring return at Wrestlemania 34.

Both McMahon and Bryan have been at the receiving end of vicious attacks from Zayn and Owens, that a tag-team match was the perfect way to have a final blow-off and end this long-winded storyline.

In what could potentially be one of the best matches on the card, it’s pretty clear what the result will be. With this new stipulation of fighting for their jobs, Zayn and Owens will find a way to win. It seems like odd booking considering this is Bryan’s first match after a three-year hiatus. So I guess he loses?

I see Shane McMahon being pinned with something happening at the end of the match where Bryan gets the upper hand so the fans can all do their big YES! chant. Maybe a possible heel turn by Shane O’Mac?

Predicted Winner: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

Sheamus & Cesaro (c) vs. Braun Strowman & TBD: Raw Tag-Team Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
BRAUN STROWMAN & TBD 1/1
THE BAR (SHEAMUS & CESARO) 1/1

The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) have their work cut out for them as they face “The Monster” Braun Strowman. As of right now, Strowman has no tag team partner and the question is does he even need one?

If we had to guess, they will probably team Strowman up with someone like Rey Mysterio because Vince loves the big monster and small Mysterio circus team. The odds were originally set as Strowman and TBD as the favorites, but a possible leak has The Bar still holding the tag-team championships at WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. Whether that is a misprint or an actual leak is unknown, but that sort of news shifts the odds considerably.

For now, we’ll stick with Braun Strowman and his secret tag partner as the victors, but it’s up in the air now.

Predicted Winner: Braun Strowman and TBD

The Bludgeon Brothers vs. The New Day vs. The Usos: Smackdown Tag-Team Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
THE BLUDGEON BROTHERS 3/17
THE USOS 9/1
THE NEW DAY 19/1

The SmackDown tag titles were left off the Wrestlemania card last year, but that’s not going to happen this year – especially when you have The New Day and The Usos involved in the match. Unfortunately, if you are a fan of those two tag teams, I don’t think either of them is going to be leaving with the titles in this triple threat affair.

The WWE has been pushing The Bludgeon Brothers as this unbeatable force and I think that will continue for the foreseeable future. The odds are leaning towards the team of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

Predicted Winner: The Bludgeon Brothers

Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali: Cruiserweight Championship

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH
CEDRIC ALEXANDER 3/7
MUSTAFA ALI 7/3

We now finally have the finals for the Cruiserweight title and let’s hope that Ali and Alexander get the time they deserve to shine. WWE’s 205 Live division has been elevated because the matches have been nothing short of spectacular.

This face vs. face, friend vs. friend matchup has all the makings to be entertaining as both of these men can put on a wrestling clinic. Ali has been the biggest highlight reel in the division and is a skilled high-flyer who has connected with the fans.

Although Cedric Alexander is the current favorite, it’s a very tough match to predict, we just feel it’s Ali’s time to be pushed into big Superstar status and become the well deserved Cruiserweight Champion. He’s exactly what this division needs right now so we’re going with supposed underdog.

Predicted Winner: Mustafa Ali

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH*
ELIAS 2/1
SAMOA JOE 4/1
BIG CASS 4/1
BOBBY LASHLEY 9/1
JEFF HARDY 15/1
BIG SHOW 15/1
BILL GOLDBERG 100/1
ADAM COLE 100/1
MARK HENRY 200/1
KANE 200/1
THE FIELD 1000/1

What started off as a way to get more guys on the Wrestlemania card has turned into an annual tradition. With the Andre the Giant HBO documentary coming out a few weeks after Wrestlemania 34, you knew the powers that be were not about to scrap this Battle Royal match.

This is supposed to be a launching point for the winner but past winners have included Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, and Mojo Rawley. Sadly, winning hasn’t really done much for anyone’s career.

At the time we write this, we don’t know exactly who will be involved in this matchup, but we do have some ideas on who could probably win it.

UPDATE: We originally had Rusev being the frontrunner but he has been inserted into the United States Championship match. Now things get interesting, but we believe Elias becomes the new favorite with Samoa Joe, Big Cass, and Bobby Lashley possibly making surprise appearances with either one of them winning.

*Our early odds are subject to change once we get a better idea of who will be involved in this matchup.

Predicted Winner: Elias

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

YouTube video

WRESTLER ODDS TO WIN MATCH*
SASHA BANKS 11/9
BAYLEY 2/1
THE FIELD 4/1

It’s unknown as I write this who’ll be competing in this women’s Battle Royal, but in the end, it feels like this match is meant to set up a feud between Sasha Banks and Bayley. Right now they are both the front runners with the rest of the ladies making up the field. However, with names like Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, or possibly NXT’s Ember Moon competing, betting on the field may be a great idea.

Since we are picking winners, we’ll go with “The Boss” to beat Bayley via heel’ish tactics thus breaking up the friendship and turning Banks to the Darkside.

*Our early odds are subject to change once we get a better idea of who will be involved in this matchup.

Predicted Winner: Sasha Banks
