A pivotal Game 3 takes place tonight at Dodger Stadium (9:37 pm ET) with the NL West-champion San Francisco Giants visiting the Los Angeles Dodgers. The best-of-five series is tied 1-1 after the teams split the first two games in the Bay Area.

Tonight’s pitching matchup sees former Dodger Alex Wood (10-4, 3.83 ERA, 1.18 WHIP) opposite three-time Cy Young-winner Max Scherzer (15-4, 2.46 ERA, 0.86 WHIP), who was only acquired by LA at this year’s trade deadline.

The table below lists the main player props available for the hitters and pitchers slated to start tonight.

Odds as of October 10th at DraftKings.

Dodgers Will Get to Wood

The odds of Wood giving up a homer are set at an enticing +105. The odds are only in plus territory because oddsmakers realize manager Gabe Kapler will have a short hook on his starter. But that’s still too enticing for me to pass up.

Wood has given up ten homes in 109 at-bats to the players on the Dodger roster tonight. AJ Pollock has hammered Wood over the years, going 10-for-25 with two homes and three doubles. Justin Turner also has a pair of homers in 19 at-bats.

Dodger Stadium gave up the fifth-most homers in the league this season, according to ESPN.

Pick: Alex Wood over 0.5 home runs allowed (+105); Corey Seager over 0.5 RBI (+180)

Scherzer Won’t Get to Eight Strikeouts

Max Scherzer turned back the clock the second his plane touched down in Los Angeles. After joining the champs, he gave up just five earned runs in his first nine starts. But his last three outings have been cause for concern. He was blasted for 11 runs in his final ten regular-season innings, and he lasted just 4.1 innings in the Wild Card game against the Cardinals, giving up three hits and three walks (but just one run).  He’s recorded just 12 strikeouts total in his last three trips to the mound. LA has an excellent bullpen and manager Dave Martinez will use it if Scherzer gets into a jam.

Scherzer needs eight strikeouts to hit the over, and the juice is currently skewed that way. I don’t see it. The most-likely outcome is that he is out of the game before the end of the sixth inning, finishing with six or seven Ks.

Pick: Scherzer under 7.5 strikeouts (-105)
