In three starts on the road this season, Cobb is 1-0 despite a 6.89 ERA. He is 2-1 with a 7.17 ERA in four starts in night games.
The Marlins’ Jesus Aguilar is only 1 for 8 versus Cobb with four strikeouts.
Hernandez had a miserable May, going 0-4 with a 5.79 ERA in five starts. He took the loss in his last outing against the Braves on Sunday in Atlanta when he lasted four innings and gave up four runs and seven hits with three strikeouts and no walks.
This will be Hernandez’s second career start and fifth appearance against the Giants. He has an 0-1 record and 4.91 ERA.
Hernandez was the other pitcher in the Madison Bumgarner hand check kerfuffle earlier this season.

Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (sore right shoulder) and shortstop Brandon Crawford (non-COVID-19 illness) are both questionable.
Marlins designated hitter Garrett Cooper (right side muscle tightness) is hopeful of playing Friday. He was injured in the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Rockies in Colorado.
Longoria has been out of the starting lineup the last two days but has pinch hit in both games. Crawford was in the original lineup Thursday before being scratched.
Outfielder Austin Slater (left wrist inflammation) could be activated from the injured list after being sidelined since May 23.

Giants vs Marlins Prediction
Cobb looked good in his last start but and his expected metrics are strong. However, he is not having the best of luck this season. So, it is worth taking a shot on fading the Giants as Hernandez is having at least a modicum of success at home.
