  • The Twins and Guardians conclude their four-game series in Cleveland today
  • Progressive Field yields 3.10 doubles per game, making contact bats incredibly valuable in the player props market

The Minnesota Twins (50-53) and Cleveland Guardians (54-49) conclude their series at Progressive Field today, with first pitch scheduled for 1:10 PM ET. The Twins lit the lamp offensively last night, securing a 10-6 victory on the road.

I am looking closely at whether Minnesota can string together another upset, or if their heavily taxed pitching staff will finally cause them to crater. I’m fading any side or total bet in today’s MLB odds, choosing to get my action in the player props market instead.

Below, you can check out my favorite player props and picks for the Twins vs Guardians contest on July 23.

Odds as of July 23 at Kalshi and Caesars. Don’t forget to claim the Kalshi referral code to score a bonus to bet on MLB.

The Guardians enter this matchup as -140 moneyline favorites at home, reflecting their clean bill of health and the pitcher-friendly nature of Progressive Field. The stadium ranks 24th in MLB for runs per game (8.27) and yields only 1.96 home runs per contest.

However, do not let those ballpark factors completely scare you away from offensive markets. Progressive Field gives up a robust 16.25 hits and 5.33 extra-base hits per game per the MLB park factors, driven by its expansive outfield gaps.

When shopping for MLB player props, finding the best number is paramount. I have identified massive edge using Kalshi contracts for today’s top stars instead of traditional books.

For example, Byron Buxton is listed at +359 to hit a home run at commercial sportsbooks, but Kalshi offers a “Yes” contract at 18¢. That means you risk 18 cents to win an 82-cent profit, which translates to a massive +455 implied odds payout.

The pitching prop market features Gavin Williams taking the bump for Cleveland alongside Minnesota starter Taj Bradley. Oddsmakers expect Williams to navigate fairly deep, setting his total outs line at 17.5.

If you are looking to avoid the hefty -149 juice on BetMGM for Williams to clear six innings, Kalshi’s 58¢ contract brings that down to a much more manageable -138 implied price. Should you expect Williams to minimize the damage entirely, claim the BetMGM promo code now to grab the Under on his 1.5 Earned Runs prop.

When analyzing the MLB batter vs pitcher stats, Cleveland’s Daniel Schneemann and José Ramírez stand out immediately. Schneemann is 3-for-7 (.429 AVG) with two extra-base hits against Bradley, while Ramírez is swinging a hot bat with a .375 average across eight career at-bats.

On the other side of the diamond, Minnesota has largely failed to figure out Gavin Williams. Trevor Larnach has been dominated entirely, going hitless in 12 at-bats with four punchouts. While Kody Clemens has managed two extra-base hits against the right-hander, his 50% strikeout rate in this head-to-head sample indicates a very low floor.

Player Props and Picks for Twins vs Guardians

When hunting for the best wagers on the board, combining head-to-head dominance with actionable situational trends is my bread and butter. After breaking down the advanced metrics and lineup data, here are my three favorite player-prop predictions for this American League showdown.

The Pick: Steven Kwan Over 1.5 Total Bases (+170 at Kalshi)

Prediction Markets
Steven Kwan Pick

Kalshi
Steven Kwan Over 1.5 Total Bases
37%

Steven Kwan represents massive value in the player props market today. Kwan has been completely dialed in at the plate, cashing his total bases over in six of his last seven games (86%).

Facing a pitcher in Taj Bradley who carries a 3.845 ERA and 1.25 WHIP, Kwan is perfectly positioned to exploit Progressive Field’s expansive outfield gaps. Rather than taking the standard plus-money at commerical sportsbooks, I am locking in the 37¢ Yes contract on Kalshi, which nets an incredible +170 implied payout.

The Pick: Byron Buxton Over 1.5 Total Bases (+143 at Kalshi)

Prediction Markets
Byron Buxton Pick

Kalshi
Byron Buxton Over 1.5 Total Bases
41%

Next, I am backing Byron Buxton to keep crushing baseballs on the road. Buxton has hit this exact total bases mark in 5 of his last 7 road games (71.4%).

He draws a highly exploitable matchup against Gavin Williams, who has surrendered an alarming 20 home runs across 119.1 innings this season. Buxton’s staggering .572 slugging percentage and .902 OPS show he is practically immune to pitcher-friendly parks right now. Once again, Kalshi’s 41¢ Yes contract (+143) offers superior value over the traditional sportsbooks for this prop.
