  • The Marlins are starting Sandy Alcantara while Toronto is using opener Braydon Fisher
  • Odds, analysis and predictions for tonight’s duel between Miami and Toronto along with player props

The Miami Marlins (26-29) step in as road underdogs to continue their series against the Toronto Blue Jays (25-29) Tuesday at 7:07 PM ET at the Rogers Centre. This is Game 2 of the matchup, with the Marlins looking to replicate yesterday’s decisive 8-2 victory. Toronto’s Yohendrick Pinango had issues out in left field that led to a big sixth inning to break things open for the Fish. The MLB odds favor the Blue Birds to win this one to even the series at a game apiece.

The Marlins turn to right-hander Sandy Alcantara, while the Blue Jays counter with Braydon Fisher acting as an opener. Keep reading for my preview and predictions along with a MLB player props selection.

Marlins vs Blue Jays Picks & Predictions

  • The Pick: Blue Jays Moneyline (-144 at DraftKings)
  • Player Prop: Xavier Edwards To Record A Run (-110 at FanDuel)

Toronto’s advantage starts on the mound with Braydon Fisher between MLB probable pitchers. He has been lights-out, boasting a 1.01 WHIP and holding opposing hitters to a microscopic .184 batting average across his 29.2 innings of work.

The Marlins counter with Sandy Alcantara, who has labored slightly more with a 4.01 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP. While the Marlins have produced a few more runs on the season (239 to the Blue Jays 216), both teams are swinging similar bats. Fisher’s ability to limit baserunners makes the Blue Jays the stronger outright play. Miami has been 6-17 on the campaign as the moneyline underdog.

My fave player prop is Xavier Edwards To Record a Run. The dynamic hitter paces his squad with 39 runs scored. Thanks to his stellar .311 batting average and .391 on-base percentage, he constantly puts himself in scoring position. He’s crossed home plate in twelve of his last 17 contests.
