Game 7 is the best thing we can ask for in the NBA Playoffs, and we’ve got two of them coming our way today. Keep in mind, we just had one last night. The rich just get richer. I’m thinking we just bypass the first Game 7 today and talk about the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who will square off tonight. (Obviously, we’re betting the other Game 7, but in this article, we’ll talk about the one for tonight.) This game will be the last one we take in before the weekend is over, and we all have to return to work.

Not only is it a must-win for the Cavaliers and Raptors, but it’s a must-win for us, too. Luckily, I’ve already done over 3000 mental simulations on this thing. Somehow, some way, this three-legger hit in every single simulation. Feels good.

Raptors/Cavaliers SGP Leg #1 – James Harden Shares the Rock

People helping people. It’s powerful stuff. That line was true when Vince Vaughn said it in Wedding Crashers, and it’s still true today. It means a lot of things to a lot of people, but for me, it means assists in the NBA. It’s by far my favorite market.

One guy I think of when I think of assists is James Harden. He’s been dropping them for the Cavaliers ever since his first possession with the team.

Here’s the thing with these “counting” categories for star players in Game 7s: they’re worth looking into. Everyone knows it’s do-or-die, so the aces stay in their places. James Harden is an “ace” in this scenario, and he’s going to be on the floor for as long as this is a game.

The thing is, we may not need him to play 40+ minutes in this thing to get home on six assists. For starters, he’s done this in half of the games so far. The thing is, in two of the games he failed to reach six dimes, he has 13 and 14 potential assists. His boys just weren’t finishing for him. In a Game 7 atmosphere, I don’t think that happens. I think he’ll flirt with 10+ dimes. Feels easy.

Raptors/Cavaliers Parlay Legs #2 & #3 – Evan Mobley Can Score

Now that we have our setup guy, we need to find a guy who will do the other half of the assist. That’s called “correlation,” and it’s a beautiful thing. Obviously, the books will dock us a little for correlation when it comes to pricing SGPs, but we have a boost, so we’ll get some of it back. Still, there’s nothing like watching your “assist” guy pass it to your “made-three” guy who drains one. It’s electric.

That “Made-Three” guy for us tonight is going to be Evan Mobley.

I know what the haters are going to say, “Slop, Mobely barely shoots threes.” This time, they’re kind of right except for the fact that he’s good for 3+ three-point attempts per game. In Game 6, the guy took seven shots from threeland. The beauty of this thing is, we only need him to hit one three-pointer tonight. He could do that in the first quarter, and it would be even sweeter if it were on a catch-and-shoot from James Harden.

In order to get our boost, we can throw in Mobley’s 15+ points prop as well. Now we have three legs that are all fairly correlated. Mobley scores from everywhere on the floor, so if he were to hit a three, he would only need 12 more points from other spots, which is doable. That’s evident by the fact that he’s gone for 15+ points in every game of this series except one. Feels easy.
