Ngannou vs Gane Odds, Prediction and Best Bet

Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane used to be training partners before Ngannou left Paris to train in the States. Since then, he has started to not like his old coach Fernand Lopez who coaches Gane. That only adds to the storyline, especially due to the fact sparring footage of the two was leaked in the lead-up to this fight. There was also an intense staredown at UFC 268 in New York where Ngannou didn’t even want to look at those two.

With all this, the Frenchman is listed as the favorite in the Ngannou vs Gane odds at Barstool Sportsbook.

Ngannou vs Gane Recent Fights

Ngannou
VS
Gane
Stipe Miocic, win by KO (title fight) Fight 1 Derrick Lewis, win by TKO (interim title fight)
Jairzinho Rozenstruik, win by KO Fight 2 Alexander Volkov, win by decision
Junior dos Santos, win by TKO Fight 3 Jairzingo Rozenstruik, win by decision
Cain Velasquez, win by KO Fight 4 Junior dos Santos, win by TKO

This is a phenomenal fight due to the fact Ngannou just needs to land one punch to end the fight. Gane, meanwhile, is undefeated at 10-0 and looks unbeatable. He’s also hard to touch as he is a great kickboxer and knows how to get out of range.

The first round will be so telling in this fight as Ngannou is so dangerous in the opening five minutes. He has a ton of power and can blitz you early as he did against Rozenstruik. Gane, meanwhile, told me on Saturday the plan is to use his kicks a lot in the first round to not let the champ get inside. He also has a good ground game, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him try and take Ngannou down and work his submission game.

It’s hard to bet against Ngannou as he can knock anyone out with one shot, but Gane is much different. He will be too technical for the champ and we saw in his last fight against Derrick Lewis, he was able to avoid the power shots. I expect the first two rounds to be a slow pace before Gane takes over and either gets a late TKO win or a clear-cut decision. Decision win for Gane is being listed at +250 in the UFC 270 props.

BetMGM is offering Gane at -145, but Barstool Sportsbook is offering Gane at -141 on the moneyline. Make sure to shop around at multiple online sportsbooks for the best UFC 270 odds.

Pick: Ciryl Gane (-141)

Moreno vs Figueiredo 3 at UFC 270

Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo fought back in December of 2020 where they fought to a draw, but had Figueiredo not gotten a point deducted he would’ve won. They then had their rematch in June where Moreno became the new champ with a submission victory.

Moreno & Figueiredo Recent Fights

Moreno
VS
Figueiredo
Deiveson Figueiredo, win by submission (title fight) Fight 1 Brandon Moreno, loss by submission (title fight)
Deiveson Figueiredo, majority draw (title fight) Fight 2 Brandon Moreno, majority draw (title fight)
Brandon Royval, win by TKO Fight 3 Alex Perez, win by submission (title fight)
Jussier Formiga, win by decision Fight 4 Joseph Benavidez, win by submission (title fight)

The second fight was a dominant performance from Moreno, and it looked like he was the better fighter. However, I do think that is the worse Figueiredo could’ve been, and for this camp, he has been training in Arizona under Henry Cejudo the entire time. It’s a close fight that will come down to if Moreno can implement his grappling again and look for the submission.

This time around, I’m expecting a much-better Figueiredo as I think he will be able to keep it standing. To me, this is a pick’em fight. I had Moreno as a -125 favorite, so the line is too high, which is why I’m going with Figueiredo to reclaim his title.

Bettors can get Figueiredo at +138 in the UFC 270 odds at Barstool Sportsbook.

Pick: Deiveson Figueiredo (+138)

Other UFC 270 Odds & Picks:

  • Said Nurmagomedov (-200): Nurmagomedov should be able to stuff the takedowns of Stamann and outstrike him to win a decision.
  • Michel Pereira (-280): Pereira is such a dynamic striker and will be able to catch Fialho and score a big KO win against the short-notice opponent.
  • Ilia Topuria (-510): Topuria is as legit as they come and will have a breakthrough performance here with a big win over Jourdain. Look for Topuria to win by decision though as Jourdain is very durable.
