  • Ciryl Gane is the betting favorite in the main event, but is there a better way to bet him?
  • Let’s take a look at a full UFC 270 betting preview, along with our best prop bets

The UFC returns to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California for the first time since August of 2019 for UFC 270 with the heavyweight title up for grabs just like last time. The main event sees Francis Ngannou defending his belt against the interim champ, Ciryl Gane, while the co-main event sees Brandon Moreno having his trilogy match against Deiveson Figueiredo for the flyweight strap. UFC 270 props are available at DraftKings, and more sportsbooks, with a few lines offering great value.

We’ve already broken down the UFC 270 odds and found value on some fighters. That being said, let’s dive deeper into a UFC 270 betting preview where we look at our best UFC prop bets for the card.

UFC 270 Props – Total Rounds Odds

Matchup Total Rounds Over Odds Under Odds
Ngannou vs Gane 2.5 -110 -120
Moreno vs Figueiredo 3.5 -135 +105
Pereira vs Fialho 2.5 +110 -140
Stamann vs Nurmagomedov 2.5 -315 +230
Giles vs Morales 2.5 -170 +140

All odds as of January 21 at DraftKings

Stamann vs Nurmagomedov have the worst odds to go over 2.5 rounds at -315 in the UFC 270 props at DraftKings Sportsbook. The total over/under is priced evenly in Ngannou vs Gane with the juice on the under at -120.

Pereira vs Fialho Under 2.5 Total Rounds

Michel Pereira is a fan-favorite fighter as he often does flips and somersaults in the cage, and he gets a favorable matchup here against Andre Fialho who took the fight on short notice.

Although Pereira’s last two fights went the distance, those were against Niko Price and Khaos Williams, who are as durable as they come. Fialho, meanwhile, is riding three first-round finishes in a row, and in his fourth fight, he won early in the second round. Both men are kill-or-be-killed fighters as they like to press the action, but a big knock on Fialho is his cardio. He has been finished in two of his three losses and slows down in the late second and third rounds.

Against Pereira, the Brazilian is always coming forward with power in his hands. I expect him to get the second-round stoppage, so take the under at -140 as one of your UFC 270 prop picks. Bettors can get Pereira to win in Round 2 at +600 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Pick: Pereira vs Fialho Under 2.5 Rounds (-140)

UFC 270 Props – To Go The Distance Odds

Matchup Yes Odds No Odds
Ngannou vs Gane +200 -280
Moreno vs Figueiredo +110 -150
Pereira vs Fialho +140 -190
Stamann vs Nurmagomedov -280 +200
Giles vs Morales -150 +110

Moreno vs Figueiredo Doesn’t Go The Distance

The co-main event sees the flyweight title up for grabs in a fascinating fight. The first time they fought it went the distance, but the second time, it was Moreno winning by submission, this time around, I’m expecting it to end inside the distance.

Although Moreno is very durable, Figueiredo has vowed he will KO the Mexican fighter. Moreover, he acted the same way when he said he was going to submit Joseph Benavidez when no one submitted him. If he goes for the finish he will either get it or exert his energy as his cardio has already been a concern. Should he not be able to put Moreno out, I think the champ will then be able to take the fight to the ground and get another submission victory.

Regardless of who wins, I don’t think the scorecards will be needed on this one. Caesars Sportsbook lists Moreno vs Figueiredo at -162 odds in their UFC 270 props list not to go the distance, so you’re better off placing this bet at DraftKings.

Pick: Moreno vs Figueiredo Doesn’t Go The Distance (-150)

UFC 270 Betting Preview – Method of Victory Odds

Result KO/TKO/DQ Odds Submission Odds Decision Odds
Ngannou beats Gane +165 +2500 +1200
Gane beats Ngannou +200 +900 +250
Moreno beats Figueiredo +400 +275 +225
Figueiredo beats Moreno +500 +900 +400
Pereira beats Fialho +165 +500 +200
Fialho beats Pereira +400 +2000 +800
Stamann beats Nurmagomedov +900 +2000 +240
Nurmagomedov beats Stamann +500 +800 +100
Giles beats Morales +400 +1200 +215
Morales beats Giles +350 +1100 +200

Although I believe Gane by decision has better value, for those looking for that one-hit wonder, Francis Ngannou is listed at +165 to win by knockout in the UFC 270 props list. A longshot prop for Figueiredo to win by submission is priced at +900.

Best Method of Victory Bet – Gane by Decision

If you read the UFC 270 preview, you know I’m backing Ciryl Gane to become the new champ. I’m doing so by betting him to win by decision, but at the prop price, it also isn’t bad to play both decision and a small shot on KO in case he gets a late finish. After their unpleasantries in New York, I think Gane will take this one home.

The reason I favor Gane by decision is due to the fact Ngannou has never been finished in his career. Gane, as well, likes to play fights safe as he fought Jairzinho Rozenstruik on the outside and pieced him up, the same can be said at what he did against Alexander Volkov.

I don’t think this will be the most entertaining fight as Gane will be too technical for Ngannou and will get the decision win.

Pick: Ciryl Gane by Decision (+250)
