All eyes will be on Monday’s heavyweight showdown between the Philadelphia 76ers (49-25, 23-14 away) and the Denver Nuggets (50-24, 31-6 home) as MVP candidates Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic go toe to toe. The tip-off in the Mile High City is scheduled for 9:30 PM ET at Ball Arena. Find the 76ers vs Nuggets odds below.

Philly has been playing tremendous basketball since the All-Star break but are currently in the midst of a two-game losing streak, falling to the Phoenix Suns on the road by 20 points Saturday. As for Denver, they are evidently back on track, winning three in a row. That includes a statement victory over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks over the weekend.

76ers vs Nuggets Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Philadelphia 76ers +5 (-108) +180 OFF
Denver Nuggets -5 (-112) -215 OFF

The Nuggets are a 5-point favorite with odds of -215. They’ve gone 23-13-1 ATS at home in 2022-23. The Sixers meanwhile sit at +180 and own a 7-11 record as a moneyline underdog. Philly took down Denver 126-119 in January behind a 47-point eruption from Embiid.

Philly Looking to Get Back on Track

The 76ers are sitting pretty at the moment in third place in the NBA Playoff Bracket, two games above the Cavs and a game and a half behind the Celtics in second. Before this brief cold skid, Philadelphia had also won 10 of 12 games. They’ve looked like a legitimate contender.

That being said, the absence of James Harden in Phoenix was felt, despite Embiid and Tyrese Maxey balling out. The two combined for a whopping 65 points but unfortunately, there was minimal help elsewhere. Only one other player finished in double figures.

A brutal fourth quarter proved to be costly as the Sixers were outscored 36-22, completely taking their foot off the gas pedal defensively. Harden is questionable to feature in Denver due to Achilles soreness, so it’ll be up to Embiid and Maxey to carry the load again. However, they need others to step up around them too.

Nuggets Unbeatable at Home

Most teams tend to play better at home as opposed to on the road. Denver in particular is practically unbeatable at Ball Arena, posting an uber-impressive 31-6 record. And while the Nuggets did hit a bit of a wall lately, Michael Malone’s team is now back to their winning ways and proving they will be a difficult matchup for anyone and everyone in the playoffs.

Jokic and Co. really opened some eyes on Saturday with a gigantic 23-point win against the Bucks in a potential Finals preview. The Joker put forward another efficient performance, posting 31 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds. Co-star Jamal Murray also contributed 26 and dished out nine dimes while three others added a minimum of 11 points.

Although Milwaukee struggled to shoot the ball, Denver also locked down defensively. Outside of Antetokounmpo’s 31 points, the rest of the Bucks’ rotation was very quiet. The Nuggets have two more games on this current homestand before hitting the road for a meeting with the Suns.

76ers vs Nuggets Prediction

It’s very difficult to count out the Sixers with Embiid on the court. He took over the last time these two teams met. Even though Harden might not play, I do think Philly at least makes this close. Expect the Cameroonian big man to put in work and keep his squad in this one until the very end.

Pick: 76ers +5 (-108)
