Edwards Continues to Show Out

Minnesota’s Game 1 win over the Grizzlies was the Anthony Edwards coming out party. In his very first playoff game, the second-year guard absolutely flourished, erupting for a game-high 36 points while dishing out six assists and shooting 12 for 23 from the field. Ant had no problem finding his own shot and truly picked apart a solid Memphis defense, giving them problems the entire game.

In fact, Edwards showed out in the Play-In Tournament against the Clippers too, dropping 30 points. In the process, he’s hit the over in points in three of his last four games, also going for 49 on April 7th vs. San Antonio. The confidence is literally dripping from the Timberwolves star when he takes the court right now. Ant continues to say he was made for this moment and if his postseason debut is any indication, the Grizz are going to have a tall task ahead as he continues to score at all three levels. This is worth a bet.

  • Pick: Anthony Edwards Over 24.5 Points (-108)

CP3 Does it All for Suns

The Suns grabbed a big win in their series opener against the Pelicans, but they certainly have Chris Paul to thank. After letting New Orleans claw their way back into the contest, the Point God took over and helped Phoenix ultimately pull away for good. CP3 ended with 30 points and 10 assists, scoring 19 of them in the fourth quarter alone. Sure, he usually resorts to playmaking and setting up his teammates for scoring opportunities, but the veteran proved on Sunday he’s still more than capable of going off.

That being said, I’m liking the points+assists here. The over/under is set at 28.5 and Paul has comfortably hit the over in two straight outings. You can almost guarantee he’s going to dish out at least 10 dimes and after seeing him drain shot after shot in that final period, this holds value. Expect CP3 to do more than just pass the rock.

  • Pick: Chris Paul Over 28.5 Points+Assists (-113)
