Wednesday, April 20th is another day packed with NBA postseason action. Boston looks to defend its homecourt against the Brooklyn Nets following Jayson Tatum’s spin-move game winner in the opener – the Celtics are four-point favorites to take a 2-0 lead.

The Sixers took care of business in Philadelphia to go two games up on the Raptors, but the series heads to Toronto on Wednesday night and the Sixers are without Matisse Thybulle as a result. Philly is still favored by two points for the game, however.

In what threatens to be a one-sided series between two Central Division foes, the Chicago Bulls are 10-point underdogs for Game 2 against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks.

Jrue Holiday to Go Over Assists Line

A line of 7.5 assists might seem a little high for Jrue Holiday after clocking just six dimes in Game 1. Holiday posted 16 potential assists in the series opener, however, and he passed this line in six of his last seven regular season appearances (excluding the bonus-triggering eight-second appearance on the final day).

Holiday had 13 assists in the fourth regular season game against the Bulls. It’s no secret that Chicago’s defense has been one of the worst in the league over the last few months, and that hasn’t changed drastically even with Alex Caruso returning from injury.

Of course, Holiday is dependent on his teammates hitting some shots. Milwaukee scored just 93 in Game 1 despite the win, and shot under 27% from three as a team. The Holiday and Giannis Antetokounmpo pick-and-roll is still un-guardable for Chicago, and feeds to the two-time MVP should see Holiday rack up plenty of easy assists.

Add a few made threes to convert some of those potential assists, and Holiday could easily double figure dimes once again.

  • Pick: Jrue Holiday over 7.5 assists (+108)

Siakam Thrives With Thybulle Out

Pascal Siakam went just 16-for-38 from the field across the first two games of this series. Philadelphia’s defense impressed. It was a shared responsibility across the team. The Sixers’ defense takes a hit for Game Three with Matisse Thybulle sitting out, and while there were some good defensive possessions from Joel Embiid on Siakam, the absence of Thybulle frees up more favorable matchups for the Raptors’ star forward.

YouTube video

Siakam has gone well under this 40.5 points, rebounds and assists line so far in this series. He did, however, pass it comfortably in his final four regular season appearances, all of which were at home. A 37-point triple-double against the Sixers was included in that run.

With Scottie Barnes likely to still be unavailable, there are greater rebounding and playmaking opportunities for Siakam. He grabbed 10 boards in Game 2, and as the Sixers are forced to help more often with Thybulle out, Siakam has shown throughout the season that he can pick out open teammates.

Siakam averaged 28, eight and 10 in the final 10 games of the regular season. He’s played big minutes throughout the season, but Nick Nurse could push that to another level in this must-win game. Take the over here – Siakam could easily get into the thirties in points alone.

  • Pick: Pascal Siakam over 40.5 points, rebounds and assists (-115)
