It may not be a full slate of contests in the association on April 8th, but there are lots of solid matchups at hand. The Milwaukee Bucks take on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks, however, the Greek Freak will likely miss out due to knee soreness.
Elsewhere, the Utah Jazz take on Western Conference rivals, the Portland Trail Blazers. Another meeting to also keep an eye on especially in the player props department is the Phoenix Suns facing the Los Angeles Clippers.

Odds as of April 7th
Holiday Shines Without Antetokounmpo
Jrue Holiday just signed a massive deal to stay in Milwaukee for the next four years, with a player option in the final season. The Bucks clearly see him as a key piece and the right-hand man to Antetokounmpo as the franchise looks to make a much-awaited title run.
The Greek Freak will miss his third-straight game on Thursday against Dallas, leaving Holiday and Khris Middleton to do the heavy lifting. Milwaukee has looked a bit shaky without Giannis, winning by just one point on Saturday vs. Sacramento then losing a thriller to Golden State on Tuesday.

However, Holiday has been showing out. The former Pelicans star dropped a season-high 33 against the Kings, then another 29 in the Bay Area. In fact, he has hit the over in four of his last five games.
During that span, Holiday is collecting 27.2 points per night, which almost a whole 10 points above his season average of 17.3. The veteran is clearly stepping up in the absence of Antetokounmpo, taking the initiative to be a focal point in the offense and pour in buckets.
The Mavs are a very average defensive team and given the streak that Holiday is currently on, it’s a worthy bet to put your money on the over in points here.
- Pick: Jrue Holiday Over 23.5 Points (-102)
Hield Makes it Rain
Buddy Hield may not be putting up outstanding numbers this season for Sacramento, but if there’s one thing he can do, it’s shoot. The former University of Oklahoma standout is shooting 38.5% from downtown on a whopping 10.5 attempts per game, which is a career-high.

Hield hasn’t hit the 20-point mark in four games, averaging just 16.5 a night on the year. But, his consistency from beyond the arc hasn’t wavered at all. The 28-year old went 6 for 16 from long range on Monday night against Minnesota, then also converted another five threes two nights before with the Bucks in town.
In fact, Hield has hit the over in three-pointers in 10 of his last 12 games. It’s by far his biggest strength on the court. The Detroit Pistons are also 20th in the association at defending the three-ball. Bet on the over, it’s certainly worth it
- Pick: Buddy Hield Over 3.5 Three Pointers (-136)
