The Philadelphia 76ers are surging, and appear to be a real threat for the top seed in the NBA Playoff Bracket.
Philadelphia (48-22, 26-10 home) seek their ninth straight win as they host the Chicago Bulls (33-37, 13-21), a team that’s been able to stop a previous Sixers’ streak.
On January 6, the Bulls put an end to Philly’s 11-game home win streak with a 126-112 decision, giving each team a win in this 4-game season series. Chicago enters this one seeking their third straight win.
The 76ers lit the Pacers on fire last game to move to within 2.0 games of the NBA-leading Milwaukee Bucks.
This one goes Monday (March 20) at 7pm ET from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. You can watch the game live on NBA League Pass.

Chicago Betting Analysis
One game after going for a season-best 49 in a win over the Timberwolves in double OT, DeMar DeRozan stayed hot as the Bulls dumped the Heat 113-99, with for 24 points, and 10 assists.
It’s the third straight game he’s led the team in scoring, part of a stretch where Chicago has wins in four of their last five outings. This such streak has only happened for them three times this season.

Zach LaVine had 18 points and seven assists, while Pat Beverley added 17 points and four dimes, the pair combining to drill 8-for-16 from three-point range.
The Bulls are 18th in scoring, though they are one of the league’s top shooting teams at 49.1% (3rd). They’re just outside the top-10 at three-point shooting (36.6%), but they attempt the fewest three-point attempts per game at 28.7 — the only sub-30 attempt team in the NBA.
Philadelphia Betting Analysis
We could be witnessing the stretch run in the coronation of a new MVP.
Joe Embiid has been on a tear, and dissected the Pacers in a 141-121 rout. Tied for the second-best 2023 NBA MVP odds, Embiid dropped 31 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two blocks in a tidy 30 minutes, sitting out the entire fourth quarter.
The big man has now scored 30+ points in a franchise-best nine straight games, and has led the team in scoring in eight of those contests.
Joel Embiid is the first player in Sixers history to drop 30+ points in 9 straight games.

With James Harden (rest) sitting, the rest of the roster followed Embiid’s lead. Tyrese Maxey matched him with 31 points and seven dimes, drilling 5-for-9 from downtown, while Tobias Harris had 24 points, five boards and four dimes.
The 76ers have been gangbusters on this streak, averaging 126.1 points per game, shooting 53.1% from the field and 43.8% from three.
Their defense remains a strong suit as well, allowing 110.5 points per game on the season (3rd), tied with the Knicks for the 3rd-best three-point shooting defense, holding teams to 34.7%.

Bulls vs 76ers Betting Prediction
Despite the Bulls’ recent run, the numbers shape them into a bad bet, particularly against a team that’s on its second 8-game win streak of the year, and positioned sixth in the NBA Championship odds.
Chicago is 1-6-1 against the spread in their last eight road games, including 1-8 ATS in their last nine head-to-heads with Philly. They are also just 2-7 ATS in their last nine meetings at Wells Fargo.
Chicago needed an unreal LaVine performance to get the win last game, as he drilled 11-for-13 from distance as part of a 41-point, 6-assist night. Nik Vucevic also had himself a game: 19 points, 18 rebounds, 10 assists and two blocks.
Embiid wasn’t in the lineup for that one, but he was in Philly’s 114-109 win on October 29, finishing with a game-high 25 points, with seven rebounds and four dimes.
The 76ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games, and are tied for the 4th-best home success rate, going 22-13-1 ATS. With a +14.8 point differential during their streak, take them to cover another one.
Pick:Â
- 76ers -7 (-110); 1.5 units to win 1.36 units
- NBA Betting Record: 36-33-1 ATS, 2-2 ML, 7-0 o/u, 0-3 parlays; -7.03 units
