The NBA is giving us every reason to do absolutely nothing but sit on the couch again today by bringing us another playoff quadruple-header. The second game features the Suns against the defending champion Thunder, and I’ve cooked up a pair of player prop wagers you need to bet right now.

OKC’s young core has been firing on all cylinders this season, spearheaded by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Conversely, Devin Booker has been relentlessly pushing the pace to carry the offensive load for Phoenix, while Jalen Green emerged as a breakout star in the Play-In Tournament.

My favorite NBA props bet tonight is 3+ threes for Green. He’s been lighting up the scoreboard since returning from injury, and has seen a major increase in 3-point attempts. Let’s start with Green. On paper, a matchup versus the favorite in the NBA Championship odds appears imposing, but his increase in usage along with where he is most dangerous from behind the arc makes him an attractive target to splash 3+ threes.

Green posted a higher usage rate than Booker in the Play-In Tournament, significantly outproducing him in both games. He racked up 35+ points in both outings, averaging 24.5 field goal attempts per contest. 21 of his 49 attempts were from behind the arc, and he buried 10 of those looks.

Green is most dangerous from the corner, where he shoots 43% from that spot. OKC allows the highest volume of corner threes of any team in the NBA, and opponents are knocking down 40% of their looks from that location.

Moving on to SGA, who’s on the verge of repeating in the NBA MVP odds. Backing an MVP candidate on his home floor is tantalizing, but the underlying data makes Gilgeous-Alexander’s 30.5-point line look remarkably light. He averaged 32 points across his 37 home games this year, shooting 53% from the floor.

Phoenix had zero answers for SGA in the regular season and I don’t expect that to change this afternoon. Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 30 points on 51% shooting versus the Suns over three game, shooting a blistering 50% from three. His ability to get the hoop at will and repeatedly draw fouls gives him a remarkably high floor even when his shot isn’t falling.

He averaged double-digit free throw attempts in last year’s playoff run, and given his proficiency at the line it’s almost like letting him start with a free 10+ points. Expect him to dictate a crisp, efficient offense, and comfortably clear this mark.
