After the Spurs lost Game 1 to Minny 104-102, San Antonio bounced back to take care of the Timberwolves in a massive way, 133-95 in Game 2. Tip-off for this highly anticipated Game 3 tilt is set for 6:30 PM PT / 9:30 PM ET Friday night, broadcasting nationally on Amazon Prime Video in the United States and TSN in Canada from the Target Center. The NBA odds show that the visiting Spurs are slight favorites to jump ahead 2-1 in this series.
As I scour over the NBA Player Props, I see a couple of chances to really take advantage of the books. Read below for all the odds and my two favorite plays for this battle between the Spurs and T-Wolves.
Spurs vs Timberwolves Player-Prop Picks
Victor Wembanyama Over 12.5 Rebounds (-110 at Caesars)
San Antonio’s superstar center has elevated his rebounding to another stratosphere in the postseason. During the regular season, he was a force, pulling down 11.5 boards per game. Against Minnesota’s towering frontcourt, he crashes the glass with incredible urgency.
Through the first two games of this series, Wembanyama has corralled 30 total rebounds, snagging 15 each contest. Looking at his last five playoff games, he averages 14.0 rebounds. Because Minnesota attacks the rim relentlessly, averaging 53.8 points in the paint, Wemby is perpetually anchored defensively for high-percentage rebounding opportunities.
Anthony Edwards Under 4.5 Assists (-141 at DraftKings)
Anthony Edwards is the undisputed primary scoring engine for the Timberwolves, but he simply isn’t a high-volume facilitator. Fading his 4.5 assists line is one of my favorite edges on the board. Over 61 regular-season appearances, Edwards averaged just 3.7 assists per game.
That number drops to 3.3 assists across his 29 home games at the Target Center. Through two games against the Spurs, Edwards logged exactly three total assists, not notching any in Game 2. Over his last five playoff tilts, he’s failed to reach the five assist threshold.
San Antonio’s defense allows just 20.9 assists per game. ANT has been unable to crack five assists in eight of his last nine outings versus the Spurs.

SA vs MIN Injury Report
Checking out the NBA starting lineups, Minnesota’s backcourt depth took a hit. Ayo Dosunmu suffered a heel injury during Game 2 and remains day-to-day. His perimeter counterpart, Donte DiVincenzo, is out for the season following a torn Achilles tendon last month.
San Antonio arrives relatively healthy. They carry only one long-term injury, David Jones Garcia, who underwent season-ending ankle surgery in February. Because the rotation adjusted to his absence months ago, their current betting lines are already settled.
