Week 5 of the college football slate isn’t as enticing as the previous week’s slate, so you’ll want to spice up the action by throwing together a college football parlay. We’ve assembled our best value CFB parlay that pays out at +501 odds, plus a two-team CFB teaser.

Among our Week 5 college football parlay picks is a play on the Houston Cougars as notable underdogs against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. We’re also playing the game total in a pivotal ACC showdown.

Let’s dive into our Week 5 college football parlays and teasers.

College Football Week 5 Parlay Picks

In our Week 5 college football parlay for Saturday, we’re taking our favorite against the spread pick, moneyline play and over/under pick and combining them into one bet on DraftKings. By parlaying these three CFB outcomes together, we get juicy +501 odds at DraftKings.

Houston vs Texas Tech

Beginning our Week 5 college football parlay is a spread play of one of our favorite underdogs this weekend. The Houston Cougars offer great value to stay within 8.5 points in their matchup with the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Jones AT&T Stadium.

TTU only won this matchup by three points last season, and now they face a Houston club that actually features the QB who played for the Red Raiders in that previous meeting (Donovan Smith). Smith has already thrown for over 1,000 yards in 2023 and will look to do damage against his ex-team.

Much like what happened last year, we expect Houston to go toe-to-toe with Texas Tech in a high-scoring affair. The Red Raiders are bottom-five in Big 12 total defense (347.5 ypg), and won’t slow down Houston’s high-flying offense enough to run away with this one.

Pick: Houston +8.5 (-110)

South Alabama vs JMU

Our second addition to our Week 5 college football parlay is a moneyline play on the James Madison Dukes as they make their home debut against the South Alabama Jaguars. James Madison is 4-0 to start the season, with three of those wins coming on the road.

JMU has the 44th-best scoring offense in the country, averaging 33.8 points per game. Dukes’ quarterback Jordan McCloud, who has thrown for 932 yards and eight TDs, should find plenty of success through the air against a Jaguars defense giving up an average of 247 passing yards per game.

Where we really see this game being decided is in the trenches, as South Alabama has given up nine sacks this season and James Madison’s defense has 18 sacks through four games. Plus, as an extra measure of security, South Alabama will be without one of their top receivers; WR Devin Voisin will not play.

Pick: JMU Moneyline (-154)

Clemson vs Syracuse

Our final addition to our CFB Week 5 teaser is our favorite game total on the Saturday slate, which is the “under” in Clemson vs Syracuse. We’re not projecting many offensive fireworks in this ACC clash, yet oddsmakers have set the total at 53 points.

These are two of the best defenses in the ACC conference, and neither team possesses the passing attack to blow this game wide open. In fact, the past two meetings have seen an average of just 39.2 combined points put up by the two clubs.

Clemson Tigers have struggled offensively against stronger teams, despite performing well against weaker opposition. We don’t see that changing against a Syracuse defense that is only allowing an average of 10.8 points per game, ranking seventh-best nationally.

Pick: Under 53 Points (-110)

  • College Football Week 5 Parlay: Houston +8.5, JMU ML & Clemson vs Syracuse Under 53 (+501)

College Football Week 5 Teaser Picks

In our Week 5 college football teaser, we’re teasing a couple of underdogs we like against the spread by six points and getting past the key numbers. When combining them into a parlay at Bet365, we get favorable -120 odds.

Florida vs Kentucky

Our Week 5 college football teaser begins with a play on the Florida Gators in their Week 5 SEC clash with the Kentucky Wildcats. Bettors in the Bluegrass State are rushing to bet their team following the launch of Kentucky sports betting, but the value lies on UF in this one.

Florida has recovered from a season-opening loss with three straight wins, including an impressive 26-19 victory over Tennessee. Kentucky is unbeaten and aiming for a third straight win against Florida, but they haven’t faced any notable competition.

Kentucky has been reliant on big plays, which is an issue facing Florida’s strong defense that has allowed just 12 carries of 10 yards or more. UF has historically dominated this rivalry, and everything is falling into place for the Gators to continue their impressive play with another road victory.

Our expert is taking the Gators against the spread in his Florida vs Kentucky prediction, but teasing Billy Napier’s team is a great way to add extra security and get over that key number.

Pick: Florida +7 Alternate Spread (-310)

LSU vs Ole Miss

Our second addition to our Week 5 college football teaser is a play on Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels in their SEC clash with the LSU Tigers. Brian Kelly’s team has strung together three straight wins, but narrowly avoided an upset last week with a 3-point victory over Arkansas.

This is a solid matchup for the Rebels’ offense facing an LSU secondary that hasn’t been all that impressive. The Tigers are allowing an average of 228 passing yards per game, which could be problematic facing a pass-first A&M offense led by QB Jaxson Dart (274 YPG, 7 TDs).

This game features one of the highest totals on the entire slate, as it’s clear oddsmakers are projecting a shootout similar to the 53-48 thriller we saw these two teams play in Baton Rouge a few years back. We like the Ole Miss offense to help keep this one within a score.

Pick: Ole Miss +8.5 Alternate Spread (-260)
