If you’re looking for a deep dive into the analytics of this weekend’s 49ers vs Chiefs matchup, well this is not the place for you. This article is all about the weird stuff. From the temperature at kick-off, to commercials, players getting arrested and Travis Kelce proposing, we’re breaking down some of the best weird Super Bowl props this weekend.
Note that while you may find a few of these at legal sportsbooks, most will not be available and are simply based on fictional odds and are for entertainment purposes only.
10) Super Bowl Commercial Props
If you’re new to the many different types of Super Bowl props, one of the more popular broadcast props are which commercials will be shown first. Major companies will spend millions of dollars to get their brands shown during one of the biggest television events of the year.
And while you can’t win millions of dollars by predicting the outcome, you can still include some of these props in your Super Bowl party betting games.
Two companies that are set to air commercials during the big game are Drumstick and Uber Eats. The Drumstick commercial features Eric Andre and Uber Eats features David and Victoria Beckham , Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Usher and others. Let’s side with the heavily favored Uber Eats ad coming on first.
First Commerical Shown
Result | Odds |
---|---|
Drumstick | +135 |
Uber Eats | -195 |
9) Reba McEntire Hat Color
Country singer Reba McEntire will be singing the National Anthem this year. It’s very possible she dawns a cowboy hat. Maybe a classic brown hat? Though in one of her most recent anthems back in 2017 in a celebrity softball game, she didn’t wear a hat at all. Las Vegas is not exactly a country music hot-bed, so she may take that approach again.
Take a swing on her hat color, or try your luck in predicting the length of the National Anthem instead. Historical anthem lengths have been going up in recent years, but Reba herself has a history of singing short anthems. Meaning the under 90.5 seconds could be a good bet.
Reba McEntire Hat Odds
What Color Will Reba McEntire’s Hat Be During Anthem | Odds |
---|---|
Red | +225 |
Brown | +350 |
Black | +515 |
Blue | +575 |
Yellow | +889 |
Grey | +975 |
Orange | +1250 |
Pink | +1576 |
Green | +3000 |
Red comes in as the most favored option to be Reba McEntire’s hat color while green is a longshot.
8) Temperature at Kick-Off
Fancy yourself an amateur meteorologist? Well now is your time to shine.
Dazzle your friends with your best weather predictions by picking the correct option from below.
Temperature at Time of Kick-Off
Temperature | Odds |
---|---|
51-60 F | +110 |
61-68 F | +140 |
68+ F | +750 |
43-50 F | +750 |
32-42 F | +3500 |
The most favored option is 51-60 degrees at kick-off and that does look like the most likely option right now. Starting on Wednesday, the high in Las Vegas is expected to be 56, followed by 49 on Thursday, 52 on Friday, 53 on Saturday and 54 on Sunday. The low is expected to be 35 on Sunday, but the kick-off will be late afternoon and based on the expected weather trends it’s likely to be in the 50s.
7) Will Rob Gronkowski Make the 25-Yard Kick of Destiny 2?

This year he’s back for redemption and you can get in on the action by signing up at FanDuel and choosing if he will “Make” or “Miss” the field goal. 6) First Vegas Landmark Shown
The landmarks in Las Vegas are endless and it’s certain that the CBS broadcast will cut to many of them going to and coming out of commercial breaks. Which one will show up first?
The most likely options could be the Sphere, Fabulous Las Vegas Sign or Bellagio Fountains.
But if you want some longer shots certainly the likes of the Eiffel Tower at Paris, The Sphinx/Luxor Pyramid, Mirage Volcano, Venetian Gondolas, Showgirls or the the Fremont Street Light Show would also be in the running.
Awesome: The Sphere in Las Vegas is showing off Legendary #NFL Rings ahead of the Super Bowl 🔥

5) Will There Be An Octopus?
There had never been an octopus sighting at the Super Bowl in the history of the sport until … last year. Wait, what?
No, an eight-tentacled mollusk didn’t flop onto the field. We’re talking about an eight-point play scored by the same player. This occurs when a player scores a touchdown and then also scores on the subsequent two-point conversion, thus scoring eight points on their own.
Last year Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts scored the first “octopus” and the odds have been set at +1400 for another octopus to be scored at Super Bowl 58.
4) Arrested or Caught With Escort?
Anything goes in Vegas and anything goes with Super Bowl props. But will NFL players take that to heart and get a little crazy in Sin City?
This prop asks what will happen first? A current Chiefs or 49ers player to be arrested or to be caught with an escort? Both are very possible options though you can be sure both Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan are running tight ships before the big game and both teams are staying far off the strip away from the craziness this week.
You can also try to predict if simply any current NFL player, not just a 49er or Chief, will be arrested in Vegas. That, seems, much, much more likely.
3) Taylor Swift Props
This category could take on a whole article of it’s own given the vast amount of Twiftie props that have been released this year. In fact, we did dive deep into the long list of propositions from Taylor Swift’s hair, outfit, where she’ll be sitting, with whom, if her flight from Japan will be shown, if she and boyfriend Travis Kelce will kiss and so so much more in a big list of Super Bowl broadcast props.
But for the purposes of this article, let’s focus on the odds for the proposal no one thinks will happen.
Odds Travis Kelce Proposes to Taylor Swift
Will Kelce Propose on Field After the Game? | Odds |
---|---|
Yes | +820 |
No | -2000 |
FanDuel has set a Travis Kelce proposal at longshot odds of +820 while the “No” is heavily juiced at -2000. It seems unlikely Taylor Swift would want to take away from a Super Bowl celebration and there are likely so many more creative ways this potential huge proposal could take place another time. The No may be one of the smartest Super Bowl bets to make.
2) Jason Kelce Shirtless
While we’re focusing on things and people who have absolutely nothing to do with the actual game. Let’s look the way of Kelce’s brother Jason, who will be up in the press box along with Swift and others in the Kelce/Chiefs clan.
Will he be wearing a shirt? It may start that way, but it’s unlikely to end that way if history is to repeat itself. The odds say Jason will remove his shirt at some point during the game, and it’s the favored option at -175 to occur before he chugs or shotguns a beer at +125.
Jason Kelce Update:
Still shirtless. Still pounding beers.

1) Will Any 49ers or Chiefs Player Be Caught Gambling in Vegas?
The Super Bowl is in Vegas and this is a gambling website, so let’s end on this one. If you feel either team’s players may get a little bored in the days leading up to the big game, perhaps you want to make a friendly wager with your friends if any player will be caught gambling.
There certainly have been plenty of players caught gambling and suspended in the league in the last couple of years. But the NFL has very strict rules on the topic and no doubt those will be vehemently reinforced this week. Still, all it takes is one to cash this longshot bet of 10-1 odds.
