The NFL schedule makers have some explaining to do. The island games aka Thursday Night, Sunday Night and Monday Night Football are supposed to be appointment television. In Week 7, however, we got Saints-Cardinals to begin the week, Steelers-Dolphins on SNF, and Bears-Patriots on Monday Night Football. Not exactly a trio of mouth-watering matchups for NFL player props bettors.

Luckily, sports betting can make any game palatable, including this Chicago-New England slugfest. Both teams want to pound the ball relentlessly, which will make big passing days tough to come by for Justin Fields and Mac Jones.

The Patriots are currently 8-point favorites for this matchup, and with the game script likely in their favor we can expect a heavy dose of their running backs.

As a result, our Bears vs Patriots player props will be betting against significant pass volume, so check out the odds below, plus our best bets to target in the Week 7 player props.

Fields and Jones both have extremely low passing over/under props by NFL standards. Chicago’s pivot projects for only 159.5 passing yards, 56 yards less than Jones. Both of these players will be featured in our Bears vs Patriots player props, starting with a fade of Jones.

MNF Prop #1: Mac Jones Under 215.5 Passing Yards

Jones has missed the last three games due to an ankle injury. His mobility apparently won’t be compromised on Monday, but we shouldn’t expect too many dropbacks.

New England ranks sixth in rushing play percentage, and on the ground is where you want to attack Chicago. The Bears rank 27th against the run per DVOA, compared to 14th against the pass.

Even when Jones was healthy he wasn’t being asked to sling it that often. He’s averaging only 32 pass attempts per game, and dating back to last year has failed to eclipse 215 passing yards in seven of his past 12 regular season starts.

Prop Pick: Mac Jones Under 215.5 Passing Yards (-115), 1 unit

MNF Prop #2: Justin Fields Over 7.5 Rushing Attempts

Bill Belichick always makes his opponents play left-handed. That means he sells out to take away their strengths. No team in football hands the ball off more than the Bears, so expect New England to load the box and force Fields to drop back.

Given that thought process, you’d expect us to target overs on Fields’ passing props. However, anyone who’s watched him play over the past two years knows that’s a losing proposition.

If Fields is forced into additional dropbacks that just gives him more opportunities to scramble. He’s not the type of QB that goes through each and every read, rather choosing to tuck the ball and run if the primary or secondary option isn’t open.

Fields has racked up at least eight carries in all but one start this season, and we should expect a carry total north of 7.5 on Monday in his MNF player props.

Prop Pick: Justin Fields Over 7.5 Rushing Attempts (-125), 1 unit

MNF Prop #3: Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime TD

Stevenson won’t have the Patriots backfield to himself like he has the last couple of weeks, but it’s safe to say he’s earned the opportunity to handle the majority of the touches.

Stevenson has seen 44 carries over the past two weeks and responded with over 220 rushing yards. He’s found the end zone twice, while also earning seven targets.

At 6 feet tall and a bruising 230 pounds, it’s safe to say he’ll be the go-to guy when the Pats get in close. He converted a red zone carry into a touchdown last week, and should have plenty of chances to score in the touchdown props as a sizeable home favorite versus the Bears when you’re making your Chicago vs New England picks.

Pick: Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime TD (-130), 1 unit
