The Rams feature wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who was NFL MVP last season when he had 145 receptions for 1,947 with 16 touchdowns. Bills quarterback Josh Allen is coming off a season in which he passed for 4,407 yards and 36 touchdowns.
The Bills are 2.5-point favorites in a game that will be televised by NBC and the over/under is 52 points.

Odds as of September 7th at Barstool Sportsbook
Prop #1: Allen Faces Suspect Pass Defense
As mentioned above, Allen had another outstanding season in 2021 and can put up big numbers against even the best defenses.

Though the Rams won the Super Bowl last season, their weak spot was their pass defense. Los Angeles ranked just 22nd among the 32 NFL teams in passing yards allowed. Conversely, the Bills were ninth in passing offense.
Allen has faced the Rams only one time in his career, leading the Bills to a wild 35-32 win at home in Week 3 of the 2020 season. He was 24-of-33 passing for 311 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for a TD.
Look for the Rams to have their hands full with Allen again. There is a reason he is a +650 favorite in the NFL MVP odds.
- Pick: Josh Allen over 274.5 passing yards (-115)

Prop #2: Bills Capable of Containing Kupp
In that same game at Orchard Park two years ago, Kupp had nine receptions for 107 yards and one TD in a losing effort. However, the Bills kept Kupp from explosive plays as his longest reception went for 20 yards.
Kupp was one of the best receivers in the NFL then and now he is arguably the best. He obviously played a major role in the Rams finishing fifth in the league in passing last year during Matthew Stafford’s first season as quarterback.
Most receiving yards in a single season (including playoffs)
2021 Cooper Kupp: 2,425
2008 Larry Fitzgerald: 1,977
1995 Jerry Rice: 1,965
2012 Calvin Johnson: 1,964 pic.twitter.com/a8p1K7GuAh— CBS Sports (@CBSSports) September 6, 2022
However, the Bills led the NFL in pass defense in 2021. Kupp will get his yards because he’s a great receiver but look for the Bills to keep him from beating them with big plays.
- Pick: Cooper Kupp longest reception under 26 yards (-114)

Bills vs Rams Touchdown Scorer Odds
Allen has plenty of options on offense and does a good job of getting them all involved.
With that in mind, let’s make a value play in our Bills vs Rams props on tight end Dawson Knox, who scored 11 touchdowns last season, including the postseason. He also scored the Bills’ first TD of a game three times after getting into the end zone a total of just five times combined in his first two NFL seasons.
The Bills have locked Knox into a long-term deal.

Stefon Diggs is a good bet to score an anytime touchdown. He has found the end zone 18 times in his two seasons with the Bills and has been Allen’s favorite target since being acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings.
- Dawson Knox first touchdown scorer (+1150)
- Stefon Diggs anytime touchdown scorer (+108)
