- Bears RB D’Onta Foreman (ankle) has been ruled out of this contest
- Minnesota WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) isn’t going to be activated from IR in time for the game
The last time the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings met, points were hard to come by and based on the Bears vs Vikings injury reports and inactives for this game, scoring might again be at a premium as these two teams clash in the Week 12 MNF game.
Chicago RB D’Onta Foreman, who is leading the Bears with four rushing touchdowns, has been officially ruled out due to ankle and shin injuries. And with their bye week looming next week, it would appear that the Minnesota Vikings aren’t going to risk activating All-Pro WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) from IR in time for this game.
Minnesota is a 3-point home favorite in the Bears vs Vikings odds. Kickoff for this game is set for 8:15pm ET at US Bank Stadium. The broadcast is being carried by ABC/ESPN and by DAZN in Canada.
At the moment in the Bears vs Vikings public betting splits, Minnesota is getting the majority of ATS handle (73%), and the better of the moneyline handle (94% as the -155 home chalk).

Vikings Won’t Be Risking Jefferson
Although team sources are reporting that Jefferson was very close to playing in this game, the prudent decision was made to give him 13 more days to heal. Jefferson will be making his return to action in Minnesota’s Week 14 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Now that the Vikings are back in the playoff race, it would be foolish to risk losing their best player in a game they should still be able to easily win in the Bears vs Vikings picks without his presence.
#Vikings star WR Justin Jefferson is “very close” to returning from his hamstring injury, per source, but the team will play it safe and not activate him for tonight’s game vs. Chicago.

On defense. starting LCB Akayleb Evans (calf) is questionable. He missed last week’s loss at Denver. Backup NT Khyiris Tonga (knee) is also questionable. Backup DE Dean Lowry (pectoral) was placed on IR.
How Could Injuries Affect Bears vs Vikings Betting Lines?
On paper, you’d think that a team missing their QB1 and arguably the best WR in the game would be in a world of trouble. Instead, the Vikings just keep on trucking.
Minnesota is 5-1 straight up since Jefferson went on IR. That includes a 19-13 win at Chicago. Prior to his injury, Jefferson was on pace for 1,900+ yards in receptions. But the team was 1-3 with him in the lineup for the full game.
The Vikings are 2-1 SU and 3-0 against the spread with Joshua Dobbs at QB in place of Cousins.
Mekhi Blackmon stepped in to start for Evans at LCB last week at Denver and will once more be ready to do so if Evans is limited again this week.
Certainly, Chicago’s fortunes took a turn for the better when QB1 Justin Fields returned to the lineup last week. He suffered a dislocated thumb in the loss to the Vikings. The Bears have gone over in all six full games that Fields has played this season.
Without D'Onta Foreman/Darrynton Evans it should be the Khalil Herbert/Roschon Johnson show
You don't really run on the Vikings because they run blitz so often
But last week Russell Wilson completed 14 passes for 90 yards to his three backs
Roschon's receiving long is 9 yards

Looking at the Chicago vs Minnesota player props, minus Foreman, which Bears RB figures to be carrying the rock? Look for Khalil Herbert, only back himself last week after missing a month through injury, to get the bulk of the backfield work. Roschon Johnson also should be seeing more playing time at RB for Chicago.
Minus Stevenson, look for Terell Smith, a rookie from Minnesota, to get ample opportunity at CB for the Bears.
