The Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3, 8-3 ATS) are among the sleekest machines operating in the NFL at the moment, while the Cincinnati Bengals (5-6, 4-6-1 ATS) are resembling a broken-down jalopy. Leaking oil, losing key parts, they’re watching their season also coming apart.

Jacksonville is 7-1 both straight up and against the spread over the past eight games. Oddsmakers are setting the AFC South leaders as 10-point home favorites in the Bengals vs Jaguars odds for this Week 13 MNF tilt. Cincinnati, though, has won six of the last eight games when facing Jacksonville.

Cincinnati vs Jacksonville Betting Trends

The Bears are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games facing AFC opponents and that’s reflected in the NFL public betting splits. Jacksonville is getting 75% of spread bets. Jacksonville is 8-2 SU in the last 10 home games against Cincinnati, so not surprisingly, the Jaguars are drawing 95% of the handle on the Bengals vs Jaguars betting splits.

The last eight times in this series when the total was set at 40 points or less, the over is 5-2-1. The under is 1-3 in Jacksonville’s last four games. It’s the over that’s 3-2 through Cincinnati’s past five games.

Jacksonville is the +1600 co-seventh betting choice in the Super Bowl odds. Cincinnati is given a season win total of 7.5. Play the over at odds of -105, or the under at a betting line of -115.

Two Teams Heading In Opposite Directions

Moving into a two-game lead atop the AFC South, Jacksonville has won two games in a row straight up. They’re 7-1 SU since a 1-2 start to the season.

Meanwhile, the Bengals are 0-3 SU in their past three games. Cincinnati is 0-2 SU since losing QB1 Joe Burrow to season-ending wrist surgery. In his first game as a starter, Jake Browning threw for 227 yards and a TD in a 16-10 loss to Pittsburgh. He was picked off once and sacked four times.

Making Browning’s life even more difficult is the fact that the Bengals are dead last in the NFL in rushing. Cincinnati is averaging just 75.8 yards per game on the ground.

Jacksonville has no such concerns under center. QB1 Trevor Lawrence is heating up, just as he did in the second half of last season while leading the Jaguars to the AFC South crown. Over the past two games, Lawrence has thrown for 626 yards. He’s completing 67.1% of his passes.

Lawrence has thrown for three TDs and run for three TDs in those two games. Among NFL QBs, only Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts and Buffalo’s Josh Allen – each with seven – have accounted for more total TDs. Lawrence is even-money to throw over 1.5 passing touchdowns in the Bengals vs Jaguars props.

Monday Nightmare For Bengals

Cincinnati is an NFL-worst 3-20 (.130) SU all-time as a road team on MNF. The Bengals haven’t won a Monday game away from home since a 1990 victory over Cleveland. They are 0-9 SU in their last nine Monday contests.

This will be Jacksonville’s first appearance on MNF since 2011. Every other team in the league has played on Monday at least seven times over that span of time.

Bengals vs Jaguars Prediction

Going back to last season, Jacksonville is 14-4 SU over the past 18 games. The Jaguars are also anticipating that RB Travis Etienne (ribs) will be playing in this game. He’s rushed for 726 yards and seven TDs this season, as well as catching passes for 312 yards and a TD.

Cincinnati’s defense is terrible at stopping the run. The Bengals are allowing 139.6 yards per game on the ground. Adding another weapon to Lawrence’s arsenal against a weakened Cincinnati squad should assure that the rout is on.

Bengals vs Jaguars Picks: Jacksonville Jaguars -10 (-110)
