One of the NFL’s greatest play-makers is on the trade block. Odds for where current Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins will take his next snap have been released.

According to Jordan Schultz of theScore, the Cardinals will try and trade Hopkins this off-season. During new GM Monti Ossenfort’s introductory press conference, Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell made it clear that one of Ossenfort’s first orders of business will be sorting out his star receivers’ future.

Following a turbulent year with the Cardinals, Hopkins will be seeking a new home. Let’s take a look at where DeAndre Hopkins next snap could take place.

Hopkins Done in Arizona

A 5-time Pro-Bowler, DeAndre Hopkins is one of the best receivers of his generation.

Despite being suspended for the first six games of the season, Hopkins displayed that he’s still operating at an elite level. DeAndre Hopkins managed to reel in 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns, while catching passes from Colt Mccoy and Trace McSorley after Kyler Murray tore his ACL midseason.

After firing head coach Kliff Kingsbury, and moving on from GM Steve Keim, Arizona will look to unload Hopkins for future assets.

While he is under contract for a total of two more years, and carries a $30 million cap hit in 2023, Hopkins would be a welcome addition to any squad. The 3-time All-Pro receiver has racked up 853 receptions for 11, 298 yards and 71 touchdowns in a career that will surely end in Canton.

Intriguingly, Hopkins no-trade clause will give him a say in choosing his next destination. While New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and DeAndre Hopkins are long-time admirers of one another, Patriots quarterback Mac Jones hardly inspires confidence at the games’ most pivotal position. After a career of playing with mostly average talent at quarterback, DeAndre Hopkins will be chomping at the bit to play with an accomplished gunslinger.

Green Bay Makes Sense for Hopkins

Should Aaron Rodgers decide to return to Green Bay for another season, the Packers have no choice but to stack the deck. Green Bay will be paying Rodgers nearly $60 million to play football. Anything less than a Super Bowl championship will be a letdown in Title Town.

The Packers’ organization and fans are clamoring for another Super Bowl. Hopkins is the weapon the Packers need to re-invigorate their aging quarterback.

Unsurprisingly, the Packers offense struggled mightily after trading Davante Adams. Green Bay’s red zone offense nose-dived without a consistent threat, finishing a paltry 24th in red-zone touchdown rate. DeAndre Hopkins route-running and insane ball skills would be just what the doctor ordered for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

It’s amusing to think about how a Hopkins trade may allow the Packers to correct one of the worst draft mistakes of the past decade. Way back in the 2013 NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers selected UCLA defensive end Datone Jones with the 26th overall pick. With the very next pick, the Houston Texans drafted DeAndre Hopkins. Green Bay can remedy that error with an off-season deal for Hopkins.
