  • Tuesday’s NHL player props card targets shots on goal across three games on Oct. 27
  • Prop prices weren’t posted at the books I checked, so each pick comes with a target line to shop for
  • See my best NHL player props for Tuesday below, plus the reasoning behind each shots pick

Tuesday’s NHL slate gives prop bettors a few shot volume spots worth chasing. I’m targeting one forward each in Canucks vs Ducks, Panthers vs Jets and Bruins vs Hurricanes. Shots on goal are my preferred market here because they lean on usage more than finishing luck.

Player prop prices were not available at the books I checked before publishing, so I’m listing target lines instead of quoted odds. Keep an eye on the latest NHL odds, and only bet these if the posted number matches my target.

One pick is more of a matchup bet than a volume play, and I’ll be upfront about that. The other two lean on shooters with a stronger track record of putting pucks on net. Here are my best NHL player props for Tuesday.

Tuesday NHL Player Props

PlayerGameTarget Line
Brock Boeser (VAN)Canucks at DucksOver 1.5 Shots
Sam Bennett (FLA)Panthers at JetsOver 2.5 Shots
Seth Jarvis (CAR)Bruins at HurricanesOver 2.5 Shots

These are the shot thresholds I want, not live prices. Once NHL player props post, compare the line and the juice across books before you bet. If a book hangs a higher number than my target, I’d pass instead of chasing it.

Best NHL Player Props for Tuesday

NHL Prop Pick #1: Brock Boeser Over 1.5 Shots

  • Brock Boeser Over 1.5 Shots on Goal (target line)

I’ll start with the lowest bar on the card, a two-shot target. Boeser has 9 points (3G, 6A) through 13 games, but only 16 shots on goal, per RotoWire. That’s about 1.2 shots per game, so this isn’t a bet on his current volume.

He scored his last time out on just one shot. I’m betting on a bounce in his shot count against Anaheim, which has allowed 297 shots in 11 games, or 27.0 per night.

That isn’t a leaky defense, so I’d keep the stake small. Still, clearing 1.5 only takes two shots, and his six assists show he’s involved in the Vancouver attack.

NHL Prop Pick #2: Sam Bennett Over 2.5 Shots

  • Sam Bennett Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (target line)

Bennett brings the strongest recent shooting run on my NHL player props card. He has 30 shots through 12 games, good for 2.5 per game, while logging 18:25 of ice time a night.

His recent form is what sold me. Bennett has put three or more shots on net in four of his last five games. He’s at five of 10 over his last 10 and five of 12 on the season, so nearly all of those games came in this latest stretch.

Winnipeg has allowed roughly 29 shots per game, which doesn’t scare me off a volume play. If Bennett stays on his current run, this Panthers vs Jets matchup gives him a fair path to three shots.

NHL Prop Pick #3: Seth Jarvis Over 2.5 Shots

  • Seth Jarvis Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (target line)

I’m wrapping up my NHL player props with Jarvis. He returned from shoulder surgery last week, and Tuesday is his first home game back, per Axios. Two games is too small a sample to judge, so I’m leaning on his track record.

Last season, Jarvis finished with 224 shots in 71 games, an average of 3.15 per game, per Sportsnet. That’s a full-season baseline, not his current form.

The setup helps. Carolina averages 33.92 shots per game in all situations, while Boston allows 27.83. My one condition is ice time: if Jarvis is still on limited minutes, I’d skip this. If he’s back to a normal workload, Over 2.5 is my target.
