The Eagles (7-0) are the only remaining unbeaten team in the NFL and coming off a 35-13 pasting of the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. Brown is sixth in the league with 659 receiving yards and has the highest receiving total among players in tonight’s Eagles vs Texans props.

The Texans (1-5-1) lost to the Tennessee Titans 17-10 and have dropped five of their last six games. Pierce, a rookie, has been a bright spot and his 539 rushing yards rank 12th in the NFL.

The Eagles are 13.5-point favorites, and the total is set at 45.5 points in the NFL odds. The NRG Stadium roof is likely to be open as the weather forecast calls for mostly cloudy, a low of 70 and southeast wind at 10 mph.

TNF Prop #1: Miles Sanders Rushing Yards

Eagles running back Miles Sanders is having a fine season despite being overshadowed by the play of quarterback Jalen Hurts, and Brown among others. Sanders is tied for seventh in the NFL with 563 rushing yards.

The Texans have a terrible time stopping the run. They are giving up 186 rushing yards a game, easily the worst figure in the league.

The Titans’ Derrick Henry gashed the Texans for 219 yards on the ground last week. Tennessee had a total of 314 rushing yards.

Miles Sanders Rushing Stats Last 5 Games

Game Carries Yards Touchdowns
10/30 Steelers 9 78 1
10/16 Cowboys 18 71 1
10/9 Cardinals 15 58 0
10/2 Jaguars 27 134 2
9/25 Commanders 15 46 0

Sanders might not be in Henry’s class – who is? – but he should be able to feast against the Texans’ defense. Sanders has just one 100-yard game so far in 2022 but he has gone over 70 in five of the Eagles’ seven games.

The one concern is Sanders might not get many carries if it’s a blowout. Still, it’s hard to resist making a play on him against a defense that started five rookies last week.

Pick: Miles Sanders over 80.5 rushing yards -115 (1 unit)

TNF Prop #2: Dameon Pierce Rushing Yards

Pierce has been a good addition for the Texans after being drafted in the fourth round this year from Florida. No other Houston running back has more than 72 yards rushing through seven games.

For a rookie, Pierce has been consistent as he has five games when he has run for at least 69 yards, including a high of 131. He has NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds of +335.

However, Pierce found the going tough last week in the loss to the Titans as he was limited to 35 yards in 15 carries. That was his lowest rushing total since Week 1 when he had 33 yards versus the Indianapolis Colts.

If the Eagles have a soft spot, it is their run defense, which ranks 15th in the NFL. Look for Pierce to get back on track against Philadelphia with the possibility of getting a crack at the Eagles’ second-team defense if the game turns into a rout.

Pick: Dameon Pierce over 63.5 rushing yards -115 (1 unit)

Hurts has thrown 10 touchdowns passes this season. Half have gone to Brown, who was acquired from the Titans in a trade during the draft, including four last week.

Tight end Dallas Goedert has just one TD reception so far. However, he has again been an integral part of the Eagles’ offense as he is second in receiving yards (421) and third in receptions (32). He looks like a solid play for your Eagles vs Texans props.

Last week, Goedert had six catches for 64 yards against the Steelers but no scores. He is overdue to catch a touchdown pass, so let’s play the law of average here and take him in our Eagles vs Texans picks.

Pick: Dallas Goedert anytime touchdown scorer +155 (0.5 unit)
