The 2020 NFL league year officially started on Wednesday but the biggest news came down on Tuesday when Tom Brady announced he would be leaving the New England Patriots. Shortly thereafter, reports came out that the six-time Super Bowl champion would be signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With Brady going to the Buccaneers in his age 43 season, expectations are sky-high for the team, which is now a top-five Super Bowl favorite.

In terms of Brady’s individual performance, he will have a better offense around him with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin at wide receiver and O.J. Howard at tight end. It also helps that they are in a division that will feature sub-.500 teams with suspect defenses in the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.

Here’s where oddsmakers have set the over/unders on Brady’s total yards, touchdowns, and interceptions for the 2020 season.

2020 Over/Under Props for Tom Brady

Props Total Over Odds Under Odds
Total Yards 4,350 yards -115 -115
Total Touchdowns 32.5 TDs -115 -115
Total Interceptions 10.5 INTs -115 -115

Odds as of March 19.

What’s Brady’s Career Average For Passing Yards?

Despite being 42 years old, Brady is still one of the best passers in the NFL, even with a lackluster receiving core in New England last year.

Last season, he threw for 4,057 yards, but often had to throw passes away as his receivers couldn’t get open. In the past three seasons, he has averaged 4,329.67 yards, which is slightly below the 4,350 total in the prop, above.

With the Buccaneers, Brady’s supporting case will be much improve. The erratic Jameis Winston accumulated a whopping 5,109 passing yards last season in a pass-heavy scheme.

Although I don’t think we will see Brady threw for over 5,000 yards, Brady will be working with elite receivers on a team that still figures to be pass oriented. Over is the best bet.

Pick: Over 4,350 Total Yards (-115)

Will Brady Throw 33 Touchdowns?

Tom Brady has only thrown above 33 touchdowns five times in his career. This line is be on the high side.

Last season, he only threw for 24 touchdowns and, in the past three years, he has averaged just 28.3 touchdowns, nearly five full touchdowns below the line for this prop.

Brady will have a better offense, as mentioned, but reaching 33 touchdowns is still a big ask. Last season, only two quarterbacks (Lamar Jackson and Jameis Winston) would have hit the over.

The best bet for this one is under just based on Brady’s historical stats and the stats of last year’s NFL season.

Pick: Under Total Touchdowns (-115)

Will Brady’s Ball Control Continue?

Brady is known to be patient with the ball and will throw it away instead of trying to force balls into non-existent windows.

Last season, he only threw eight interceptions and, in the past three years, he has averaged just nine INTs per season. Since 2010, he has only thrown over 10.5 interceptions three times. The line should have been set at 9.5. I really like the under.

Pick: Under Total Interceptions (-115)
