Most everyone is expecting a monumental performance from Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers when they host the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.
Perhaps you’ve got some uncertainty wagering on this one, especially since there’s a hefty 12-point spread favoring the Packers and little value on a moneyline pick.
Let’s take you down another avenue, as we lay out the player prop bets available and share some of our favorite picks.
MNK kicks at 8:15pm ET from Lambeau Field, where it’s expected to be a 82 degrees and clear.

All Eyes on Aaron
Someone once said “It’s hard to believe Aaron Rodgers has plus-odds to throw more than 2.5 touchdowns.”
Wait … that was me! And I got burned for it too. Still, it’s a figure that has to be considered, especially when the 2020 NFL MVP had 12 games where he threw for three or more TD passes.
Last year, he posted 12 games of three-or-more touchdown passes. One of those was against these same Lions, throwing for 290 yards and three scores in a December meeting in Motown.
Aaron Rodgers stats following a loss LAST SEASON👀
• 4 TD, 0 INT, 283 yards, 132.4 rating
• 4 TD, 0 INT, 305 yards, 147.2 rating
• 4 TD, 0 INT, 211 yards, 132.3 rating pic.twitter.com/mwAeEJ8xOL— IKE Packers Podcast (@IKE_Packers) September 16, 2021
If there’s one thing the Packers have done well in the Matt LaFleur era, it’s bounce back. In their back-to-back 13-3 seasons, Green Bay has yet to go on a two-game losing streak. Last season, Rodgers mashed after taking an L.
Rodgers may have failed us once already this season, but I don’t see him struggling to hit this total Monday night.
- Pick: Rodgers OVER 2.5 touchdown passes (1 unit to win 1.25 units)
Go With Goff
While it came in a losing effort, it must have been nice for Jared Goff to show that he wasn’t totally propped up by a Sean Mcvay-designed offense.
The ex-Ram put up big numbers in Detroit’s 41-33 loss to the 49ers, throwing for 338 yards on 38-for-57. Surprisingly, for all the talk about his ineffectiveness with LA, Goff still posted six 300-yard plus games a year ago. Despite only a 5.9 yard per attempt average against San Fran, the Lions’ offense pumped out four plays of at least 20+ yards.

The Lions won’t be great this year, and this feels like the second week in a row they’ll be trailing and needing to air it out.
Don’t let the Pack’s 7th-ranked pass defense from a year ago deter you. Their defense will be missing Za’Darius Smith, and their secondary is nicked up. particularly at the safety spots.
- Pick: Goff OVER 254.5 receiving yards (1 unit to win 0.87 units)

Who Scores?
We took a flier on a Davante Adams score-first prop in Week 1 and that bit us. Still, the talented Packers’ wideout is too good to not find the endzone in back-to-back games. That happened just once in his 14 games a year ago, when he hauled in 18 TD passes. He’s been a regular leaper at Lambeau too: Adams has scored at least one TD in seven of Green Bay’s last eight games at home.
You might be interested in the Detroit running backs in this one: with his touchdown last week, D’Andre Swift now has at least one score in five of his last six appearances. However, backfield mate Jamaal Williams is going against his former team for the first time, and did look good in his Detroit debut with a TD of his own.
Picks:
- Adams to score anytime TD (1 unit to win 0.67 units)
- Williams to score anytime TD (1 unit to win 2.5 units)
