  • In the New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys inactive and injury reports, Cowboys LB Micah Parsons (knee/ankle) is questionable but expected to play
  • Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (knee) is among seven Giants who won’t play on Thanksgiving
  • Three starting offensive linemen – LG Shane Lemieux, Jon Feliciano and Evan Neal – will be missing for Detroit according to the Giants vs Cowboys injury report

As a critical NFC East showdown between two bitter rivals takes shape for Thanksgiving Thursday, the New York Giants have to be concerned based on their injury report. Both teams square off with identical 7-3 records but the G-Men are far more banged up than the ‘Boys.

Seven Giants players have already been ruled out of this game, compared to just one for the Cowboys.

Five of those seven are starters for a team that has far exceeded expectations this season. Those are – TE Daniel Bellinger, LG Shane Lemieux, C Jon Feliciano, RT Evan Neal and CB Adoree’ Jackson. The lone Cowboy who won’t compete is veteran linebacker Anthony Barr, though defensive linemen Johnathan Hankins and Tarrell Basham are doubtful with illnesses.

Cowboys Favored Over Giants

Last week, the Cowboys made a huge statement to the NFL, as they smashed the previously one-loss Vikings 40-3. The Giants were drubbed 31-18 by the Lions, which was their second loss in three games. Dallas is set as ten-point home favorites over New York in the Giants vs Cowboys picks.

Kickoff at AT&T Stadium is set for 4:30 pm ET on Thursday, November 24. The weather forecast is calling for showers, 10 mph wind and a temperature of 61 degrees – not that it will matter inside climate-controlled AT&T Stadium. FOX is carrying a broadcast of the game. As of Thursday morning, the Giants were getting 63 percent of the ATS handle in the Giants vs Cowboys betting splits.

New York Giants Injury Report

The Giants are hobbling coming into this game. Being down five starters (four on offense), hurts enough, with LG Shane Lemieux being one of them. His backup Josh Ezeudu (neck) is also out, and third-stringer Tyre Phillips (neck) is questionable. Others along the O-Line that have already been ruled out are C Jon Feliciano and RT Evan Neal. Left Tackle Andrew Thomas (illness) is questionable.

TE Daniel Bellinger won’t play, and the G-Men placed rookie WR Wan’Dale Robinson on IR (torn ACL), following a 100-yard receiving game last week. Another wideout Richie James, who has also returned punts, is questionable (knee).

On defense, the Giants won’t have CB Adoree’ Jackson after he sprained his MCL returning a punt last week. Starting FS Dane Belton (clavicle), along with backup DB Jason Pinnock (jaw) are questionable, with Fabian Moreau (oblique), out of the game.

Dallas Cowboys Injury Report

The Cowboys enter this battle with far less injury concerns. Only LB Anthony Barr (knee) is listed as out. The aforementioned defensive line duo of Johnathan Hankins and Tarrell Basham (illnesses), are doubtful.

There are seven players who are questionable, and they’re all on defense. The biggest names are stud LB Micah Parsons (knee/ankle), and DeMarcus Lawrence (foot/illness), but they’re good to go. DT Osa Odighizuwa (knee) and safety Donovan Wilson are both questionable.

A trio of backups in Dante Fowler, CB Kelvin Joseph and DT Neville Gallimore are all questionable as an illness has ravaged the Cowboys’ locker room.

Heading into this one, Dallas is by far the healthier team. They already beat the Giants earlier this season in Week 3 by a score of 23-16, and that was with Cooper Rush at the helm. Dak Prescott has been back playing for the last four contests following a finger injury.

How Injuries Could Affect Giants vs Cowboys Lines

With Ezekiel Elliott coming off a two-TD performance after missing two games, he’s fully off the injury report and has to be a major focus in the Giants vs Cowboys player props.

The Giants’ offensive skill position talent was already stretched mightily. And it got worse with Wan’Dale Robinson joining Sterling Shephard and Collin Johnson as wideouts on IR. Their solid rookie TE Daniel Bellinger is also out, along with four offensive linemen. If the ‘Boys can hone in on stopping star RB Saquon Barkley, it could be a long day for Daniel Jones and the offense.

The Giants promoted OL Devery Hamilton, DBs Trenton Thompson and Terrell Burgess and OL Korey Cunningham from the practice squad to the active roster to help fill the void of a depleted roster.
