  • The NFL line movement for Week 10 is displaying plenty of action when it comes to point spreads
  • Six games are showing odds shifts in the spread of at least 1.5 points
  • Only one game is counting a total over 50 points, while for four games the over/under is 40.5 points or less

In the Week 10 NFL odds and spreads, when it comes to line movement, they like to move it, move it and six of the 12 games on the Week 10 slate are showing shifts in the point spread of at least 1.5 points.

There are some other startling developments. The Green Bay Packers are 4.5-point underdogs at Lambeau Field to the Dallas Cowboys in one of the NFL’s longest-running grudge match rivalries and features the return of former Packers coach and current Cowboys boss Mike McCarthy to Green Bay.

Coming off an upset loss to the New York Jets, the Buffalo Bills remain the chalk in the Super Bowl odds but there are other concerns for the Bills and for Buffalo bettors. An injury to Bills QB1 Josh Allen is causing havoc with both the point spread and the total as AFC East-leading Buffalo is playing host to the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings.

In the NFL odds, the San Francisco 49ers are 7-point home favorites to improve to 3-0 against LA this season and, already with a home-and-home sweep of the reigning Super Bowl champion Rams, in Week 10 the Niners are playing host to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Before diving deeper into this week’s line movement, let’s look at the up-to-date Week 10 NFL odds.

In Week 10 against the spread picks, home teams are favored in 11 of 13 games, with four games showing totals that are under 40.5 points.

NFL Week 10 Biggest Line Movement

Everywhere NFL bettors were looking in the build-up to Week 10, there was line movement. Four games saw their opening lines shift by 1.5 points and another was showing a 2-point change, but when it came to determining the biggest line movement of Week 10, they were all elbowed out of the way by Josh Allen.

Or, to be more precise, by the UCL injury to Allen’s elbow. Allen hasn’t been practicing this week as the Bills prepare to play host to Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings.

Buffalo’s opening line was displaying the Bills as -7.5 favorites but the uncertainty surrounding Allen is causing this line to shorten to Buffalo -3.5.

In the NFL public betting trends, bettors are setting sail with the Vikings while Minnesota is drawing 75% of the spread handle in the public splits.

Biggest Total Movement In Week 10 NFL Lines

When looking up the totals at NFL betting sites, the Allen news was also sending the Minnesota vs Buffalo over/under plummeting downward.

At the beginning of the week, this game was showing among the larger totals at 48.5 points but if Allen can’t go, you know who starts for the Bills at QB? Why, none other than Case Keenum.

Keenum was QB1 for the Vikings when they were reaching the NFC Championship Game in 2017 but , regardless, Minnesota was signing Cousins that offseason to replace Keenum under center.

The 43.5-point total is the lowest for a Bills game this season and Buffalo is 1-7 on the over/under during the 2022 campaign.

Bettors Losing Faith In Jaguars and Raiders

There was a time not so long ago when a matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints would’ve been a game-of-the-week candidate but Sunday’s showdown at Acrisure Stadium is looking more like a game of the weak.

At 3-6, the visiting Saints are favorites for the first time in five weeks. New Orleans is 1-3 ATS over the past four games.

The 2-6 Steelers are an underdog for the fifth straight game but it’s the first time in this stretch that they aren’t 7+ point underdogs. In fact, in the NFL Week 10 opening odds, Pittsburgh was a 3-point underdog, so there’s been plenty of line movement.

Longest Odds of Week 10

Remember Week 12 of the 2020 NFL Season? The Washington Commanders were venturing into Pennsylvania to face the 11-0 Steelers and Washington won outright 23-17 at 6.5-point road underdogs.

In the Week 10 NFL betting lines, the Commanders are traveling to Pennsylvania to face the unbeaten 8-0 Philadelphia Eagles but bettors don’t seem to be thinking that history will be repeating itself. The line movement is only adding to the belief in Philadelphia. Opening as the 10.5-point chalk, the Eagles are now 11-point favorites. Those are the longest odds of Week 10.

Broncos Again Featuring In Tiny Total Time

Even though they’re scoring 15.1 points per game, the Broncos aren’t the least productive NFL offense with two teams worse than Denver. In eight games, the Broncos have scored over 20 twice and under 10 twice. But Denver has never scored more than 23 in any game.

In two weeks with rookie Malik Willis at QB, the Titans have scored exactly 17 points in each game. Tennessee hasn’t gone over 19 in the past three weeks and has never gone over 24 all season long.

Any wonder that this game would be showing the Week 10 lowest total at 36.5 points?

Now That’s More Like It – Chiefs Going Back Over 50

Last week when playing the Titans, the Chiefs were assigned a season-low 45-point total and they failed to go over in a 20-17 win that went to overtime.

In Week 10, Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City are back in the half-century total club facing the Jacksonville Jaguars, with the over/under set at 50.5 points. It’s the only Week 10 game with a total of 50+ points and it’s showing the largest total of any game.
