Chargers vs Vikings Opening Odds & Prediction

Two teams that reached the playoffs last season find themselves in 0-2 holes to start 2023 when they meet at 1 p.m. ET Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Chargers are 1.5-point favorites.

The Chargers lost to the Titans 27-24 in overtime on Sunday as Nick Folk kicked a game-winning 41-yard field goal in a downpour. Justin Herbert threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns to Keenan Allen, but Los Angeles fell to 0-2 for the first time since 2017.

The Vikings lost four fumbles on Thursday night while losing 34-28 to the Philadelphia Eagles. Kirk Cousins rallied Minnesota from a 27-7 deficit in the third quarter as he finished with 364 passing yards, but the comeback fell six points short.

The Vikings’ 13-4 regular-season record in 2022 had a fluky feel to it as they gave up more points than they scored. It seems like things are catching up to Minnesota this season.

Pick: Chargers -1.5 (+100)

Broncos vs Dolphins Opening Odds & Prediction

The Miami Dolphins (1-0) are favored by six points at home over the Denver Broncos (0-2) in a game set for 1 p.m. ET Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Hiring Sean Payton as coach has not provided the Broncos with the boost they were hoping for as they have lost their first two games by a combined three points. They fell to the Commanders 35-33 on Sunday when Russell Wilson threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Johnson as time expired to draw the Broncos with two points.

However, Washington’s defense bent but didn’t break by stopping what would have been the tying two-point conversion attempts.

The Dolphins visited the New England Patriots on Sunday night after outlasting the Chargers 36-34 in Week 1.

The Broncos have a tall task ahead after starting 0-2. They will have a hard time keeping things so close against the explosive Dolphins.

Pick: Dolphins -6 (-110)

Movement On The Line?

The Dallas Cowboys (2-0) are big favorites over the Arizona Cardinals (0-2) with the line opening at 10.5 points for the 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

The Cowboys have outscored their first two opponents 70-10 after downing the New York Jets 30-10 on Sunday. The Cardinals blew a 21-point lead in the third quarter while falling to the New York Giants 31-28.

Though the spread is substantial, it still seems a little light considering the formidable Cowboys defense will be facing Cardinals backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs. Jump on the Cowboys early before the line moves upward.

Pick: Cowboys -10.5 (-115)
