The Seahawks and Patriots are still duking it out in an ultra-low-scoring battle for the 2026 Lombardi Trophy, but that hasn’t stopped sportsbooks from opening the Super Bowl 61 odds.
While both of this year’s Super Bowl participants are near the top of the board, only one is at the pinnacle of the 2027 Super Bowl odds.
Super Bowl 61 Odds (2027)
Two bitter NFC West rivals are co-favorites in the opening Super Bowl 61 odds: the reigning-NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks and the team they beat in the conference title game, the Los Angeles Rams, have both opened at +950.
The reigning-AFC Champion Patriots are tied for fourth at +1300, behind the AFC East-rival Buffalo Bills, who have the best Super Bowl odds of any AFC team at +1100.

Cardinals, Dolphins Biggest Super Bowl 61 Longshots
Two teams are seen as a cut below the rest. The Arizona Cardinals, who are likely to lose Kyler Murray this offseason, and Miami Dolphins, who are in both quarterback and head coach limbo.
The Cardinals and Dolphins are priced at +20000 at DraftKings. No other teams are longer than +18000 (New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders).
In addition to the QB issues for Arizona, they also have the misfortune of residing in a stacked NFC West, a division where the three other teams all won 12 or more games last season.
Chiefs Not Among Super Bowl 61 Favorites
One of the biggest changes from the opening Super Bowl odds compared to this time last year – and indeed this time in each of the last five years – is the absence of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs at the top of the odds.
Kansas City is just the tenth favorite at +1500, fifth in the AFC alone and second in the AFC West behind the Los Angeles Chargers (+1400).
The Chiefs won five of six AFC Championships from 2020 to 2024. They finished last season, an injury-riddled campaign for Mahomes and several other stars, just 6-11.
