  • Nearly 90% of public splits on moneyline handle and bets are backing the Kansas City Chiefs in the Week 9 SNF game against the Tennessee Titans
  • There’s 71% of bets supporting the over in total wagering
  • Check out all the NFL public betting and money percentages for the Titans vs Chiefs NFL Week 9 SNF game

The Tennessee Titans (5-2, 5-2 ATS) are the one NFL team showing a winning record against the Kansas City Chiefs (5-2, 4-3 ATS) with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. Tennessee is 2-1 straight up and against the spread when facing Mahomes and the Chiefs.

However, that knowledge isn’t making much of an impression upon the NFL betting public.

An overwhelming amount of public moneyline splits are backing the Chiefs to take care of the Titans during the Week 9 SNF game. Spread bettors, though, are less sold on Kansas City’s value. In fact, the public splits on the spread handle are currently right at 50-50.

Oddsmakers also aren’t choosing remember the Titans’ history against Mahomes and the Chiefs. It’s Kansas City that’s set as a double-digit, 12.5-point home favorite in the NFL odds over Tennessee. This is the 18th time with Mahomes as their starting QB that the Chiefs are the double-digit point chalk. They’re 8-9 ATS in the previous 17 games.

The Titans vs Chiefs public betting picks are backing the over on the total of 46 points. Splits on both the handle and bets are going steadily with the over at 59% and 71%, respectively.

Kickoff at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is set for 8:20 pm ET on Sunday, November 6. The weather forecast is calling for cloudy skies, 13 mph wind and a temperature of 59 degrees. The game is airing on NBC in the USA and DAZN in Canada.

Public Extremely Confident in Chiefs at Home

The Chiefs were the 11.5-point home chalk in the NFL Week 9 opening line for this game. The public action moved the line to Kansas City -12.5. However, betting against the Titans in the Tennessee vs Kansas City picks might not be the wisest course of action.

In their last five games, the Titans are 5-0 both straight up and against the spread. Tennessee is also 5-1 ATS in the past six games against Kansas City and 6-2 ATS in the last eight games between the two teams played at Kansas City. And the Titans are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against an AFC opponent. No wonder then that Tennessee is drawing 63% of ATS handle.

On the other hand, Kansas City is just 2-4 ATS in the past six games and 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings with AFC opposition. The Chiefs are 4-3 ATS coming off the bye week with with Mahomes as their starting QB. However, as an NFL head coach Kansas City’s Andy Reid is 18-9 ATS in the first game after a bye.

Tennessee lost 41-17 at Buffalo earlier this season as 10-point underdogs. The Titans are 1-1 ATS as a double-digit underdog over the past five seasons.

Low Total Certainly Placing Emphasis on Over

This is just the ninth time with Mahomes under center that the total on a Chiefs game is 46 points or less. Kansas City is 7-1 on the over/under in the eight prior games.

The total on this game opened at 46.5 points, so it’s actually gone even lower. It’s the lowest total for a Chiefs game since January 8 against the Denver Broncos (44.5 points). Kansas City won that game 28-24.

Kansas City is 3-1 on the over in the past four games, but just 1-2 on the over at home this season. Tennessee’s last four games have gone under. As well, four of the last six Titans vs Chiefs games also went under.

Moneyline Bettors Overwhelmingly With Kansas City

Both of these teams are leading their divisions at 5-2. The Chiefs are set as the -550 chalk to win the AFC West, while the Titans are the -320 to take the AFC South in the NFL Divisional odds.

A key factor entering this game is the uncertainty surrounding the status of Titans QB1 Ryan Tannehill. He’s listing as questionable with an ankle injury. Should you be looking at a play on Tennessee rookie backup QB Malik Willis in the Titans vs Chiefs player props?

With 88% of moneyline handle and 87% of moneyline wagers backing Kansas City, it’s a fairly safe bet what the public is seeing as the outcome of this game.

The Chiefs are 2-1 SU at home this season. Tennessee is 3-1 SU on the road.
