Will Kelce Propose to Swift?

The betting odds don’t favor Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce proposing to Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl. FanDuel Sportsbook is offering +800 odds for Kelce to propose and -1800 odds for him not to. This means the implied chance of the proposal happening is just 11.1%.

Interestingly enough, this Taylor Swift prop has seen a change in the odds leading up to Super Bowl kickoff. The odds of “yes” Kelce will propose have shortened from +1600 to +800, indicating there could be some traction to a post-game proposal. That, or the Swifites have bet this so much, FanDuel had to move the line.

It’s important to note, however, that this Taylor Swift Super Bowl prop actually opened with “no proposal” offered at -250 odds, which we thought was pretty solid early value. We simply don’t envision Kelce proposing to Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl for a myriad of different reasons.

For starters, Swift is currently on her “Eras” world tour in which she has four consecutive concerts scheduled in Tokyo, Japan on February 7-10, 2024. The pop singer is expected to attend the Super Bowl, but she will likely be jet-lagged as she’ll be taking a 12-hour flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas.

According to TMZ, Swift “is NOT” going to be performing in any capacity during SB LVIII. This indicates she isn’t interested in any extra attention during the game and just wants to support her boyfriend. Swift is busy touring and recording new music right now, so a Kelce proposal doesn’t seem like the right time.

We’re not going to pretend to be relationship experts here, but you also have to consider that Kelce and Swift have only been dating since sometime in September. This just feels too rushed, and sportsbooks are taking advantage of the “Tayvis” hype and fans who want the couple to tie the knot ASAP.

Furthermore, the Chiefs are currently betting underdogs in the Super Bowl 58 odds. We don’t see Kelce proposing after a devastating loss. Even if he does win, do we really think he will want to steal the thunder from his teammates and make the victory about himself?

  • Taylor Swift Props Pick: No Proposal (-1800)

Will MVP Mention Swift in Speech?

Another Taylor Swift Super Bowl prop available at FanDuel Ontario is whether or not the Super Bowl MVP will mention Taylor Swift in his speech. This is a prop we think could be worth wagering on, especially if the San Francisco 49ers pull out the victory.

The current Taylor Swift betting odds are +520 in favor of the pop singer being mentioned during the speech and -900 in favor of it not occurring. The odds are implying oddsmakers believe there is just a 16% chance that the Super Bowl MVP will name-drop the pop singer in his MVP speech.

In the week leading up to the Super Bowl, FanDuel has shortened the odds for the MVP mentioning Swift from +600 to +520. While it’s still a longshot bet, this is line movement we agree on.

Super Bowl MVP speeches are often full of passion and emotion, taking place just minutes after a player wins the biggest game of his career. However, what’s most important for this T-Swift prop is which player is most likely to be delivering the speech.

According to the latest Super Bowl MVP odds, the three clear favorites are Patrick Mahomes, Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey. Travis Kelce is the fourth-betting choice at +1200, and you expect that he would thank his girlfriend in his potential MVP speech.

The reason we are sprinkling on this prop is because we think the 49ers have some players with personalities who would potentially poke fun at Taylor in their speech. We can also envision Mahomes winning his second straight MVP and thanking Taylor as a good luck charm of sorts for the team.

  • Taylor Swift Props Pick: Yes Mentioned in MVP Speech (+520)

Odds Andy Reid Mentions Taylor Swift

Will Andy Reid Mention Taylor Swift? Odds
Yes +520
No -850

Taylor Swift odds as of Feb. 11.

Is Andy Reid a Swiftie?

Among the Taylor Swift Super Bowl bets FanDuel has added leading up to kickoff is one specific to Kansas City head coach Andy Reid. Bettors can wager on whether or not the NFL coaching legend will mention Taylor Swift in his post-game interview/ speech.

Much like the Super Bowl MVP prop, the odds aren’t in favor of Reid giving Swift a shout during his post-game speech. FanDuel has set the odds for Reid mentioning Swift at +520, while giving -850 odds he will keep her name out of his mouth.

Interestingly, there is an Andy Reid-Taylor Swift connection, as Reid knew Taylor Swift’s father Scott Swift when Reid was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999-2012. The Swift family lived in Pennsylvania and Scott Swift was a University of Delaware football fan who met Reid.

Through this previous connection, Andy Reid also briefly met Taylor Swift when she was young, while her family still lived in Pennsylvania, before she moved to Nashville in 2004 to pursue her music career. Now, Reid has gotten to know her even more through Travis Kelce dating the pop singer.

We think this Taylor Swift Super Bowl bet is worth a small sprinkle as well, especially if the Chiefs win. Reid can be almost considered a Swiftie at this point, especially with his recent comments. Reid told Sirius XM, “She’s [Taylor] a good girl,” adding, “She loves the game, and obviously loves Kelce. So I’m happy for both of them.”
