The Los Angeles Rams won’t have the benefit of true home-field advantage in the Wild Card round due to the wildfires ravaging southern California. With their matchup against the Minnesota Vikings moved to Arizona’s State Farm Stadium, the public is of the opinion that it’s advantage Rams on Monday night (5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET). The public is betting heavily on the Minnesota moneyline roughly 24 hours before kickoff.

MIN Vikings vs LA Rams Public-Betting Splits

Team Spread ATS Handle% ATS Bet% Total Points O/U Handle% O/U Bet% Moneyline ML Handle% ML Bet%
Minnesota Vikings -2.5 52% 54% 48.0 20% 21% -140 79% 74%
Los Angeles Rams +2.5 48% 46% 48.0 80% 79% +126 21% 26%

The Vikings vs Rams odds list Minnesota as a 2.5-point “road” favorite and as short as -140 on the moneyline. That’s not too rich for the public’s blood. The current NFL betting splits show 79% of moneyline handle and 74% of moneyline wagers on the favored Vikings to win straight-up, leaving just 21% of moneyline handle on the underdog Rams.

That said, the ATS splits are much closer. The majority of ATS handle is still on the favored Vikings, who are laying 2.5 points, but as of Sunday night, Minnesota was getting just 52% of ATS money with the other 48% on the Rams to cover.

The public has a strong lean on the game total. With the number still sitting at 48.0 at most sportsbooks, the under is getting 80% of O/U handle and 79% of O/U tickets. Three of the first four Wild Card games have stayed under their totals with only Houston’s 32-12 win over the Chargers going over its total of 42.5.

Vikings vs Rams Injury Report

Minnesota Vikings Injury Game Status
Patrick Jones II (LB) Knee Out
Cam Akers (RB) Illness Questionable
Taki Taimani (DT) Ankle Questionable
Los Angeles Rams Injury Game Status
None N/A N/A

The main reason the Vikings/Rams injury reports are tacked on the end of this article is because there is very little to report.

The Rams final injury report on Sunday literally didn’t list a single player with an injury designation. That’s welcome news for a team whose top-two receivers – Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp – combined to miss 11 games in the regular season.

On the Minnesota sideline, second-string linebacker Patrick Jones II is out with a knee injury. The fourth-year pro appeared in 15 games for the Vikings this season, recording 19 tackles and seven sacks, which was third on the team, along with one forced fumble.

Running back Cam Akers (297 rushing yards, 52 receiving yards, three total TDs) is listed as questionable due to an unspecified illness, while backup nose tackle Taki Taimani, who’s been out since Oct. 24, is questionable to return from the ankle injury that landed him on IR the last time these teams met.

The Vikings head into Monday night as the +1800 sixth-favorite in the latest Super Bowl odds, with the Rams back at +5000, which is only shorter than the Commanders (+5500).
