Vita Vea wants out of Tampa. His agent told NFL Network on Monday that the two-time Pro Bowler asked for a trade after he and the Bucs couldn’t get an extension done.

This has been coming since June, when Vea held in during mandatory minicamp. Camp opens Tuesday with nothing signed, so he pulled the biggest lever he has.

Las Vegas and Tampa Bay are tied at the top at 40 cents apiece on Kalshi. The Raiders are the story there, up 35 points to get to that number. The Chargers and 49ers sit at 30 cents, with the Rams at 25.

The bottom fell out for a couple of teams. Buffalo dropped 84 points to 15 cents and Baltimore fell 94 points to 5, both from spots near the front of the board.

One thing to keep in mind before you trade it. Total volume is only around $6,000, so a single order can swing these prices. The whole board also adds up to well past 100%, meaning these are ballpark reads rather than exact probabilities.

Vita Vea Top Landing Spots

Start with what Vea wants. Ted Nguyen of The Athletic reported he’d like the Raiders or a California team, which lines up with the top of the board. He grew up in Northern California.

Las Vegas has the clearest hole. Adam Butler is the best interior lineman on the roster right now, and putting Vea next to Maxx Crosby would change how teams block that front.

San Francisco has a need too, with Alfred Collins and Gracen Halton banged up. Nick Bosa played three games last season and would benefit from someone pushing the pocket next to him, though the Niners have a lot of money tied up already.

The Chargers are the trickier one. They added Dalvin Tomlinson this offseason and held up fine against the run, so Vea would be a luxury rather than a fix. They do have the cap room for it.

Don’t sleep on Tampa Bay staying at 40 cents either. Trade requests are usually a negotiating step, and the Bucs finished fifth in rushing yards allowed per game with him in the middle.

The Rams keep getting mentioned, but Sean McVay said a move is unlikely with what they already have up front. Between Myles Garrett and the Aaron Donald talk, there isn’t a role.

Vita Vea Next Team Prediction

The Raiders check every box here. Vea reportedly wants to be there, the need on the interior is obvious, and Las Vegas has spent this offseason acting like a team that’s done waiting.

The money works better there than most places too. Vea is set to earn $18 million in the final year of his deal, and his $17.5 million average ranks 19th among interior defensive linemen. He’s looking for a raise, and the Raiders can give him one without wrecking their books.

Vea is 31 years old, and that’s the risk any team will have to take on. But he played all 17 games last year with 4.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss, so the wear hasn’t shown up yet.

Tampa Bay working it out is the outcome I’d worry about most if you’re buying Las Vegas. Money fixes these things more often than not.
