Week 12 Passing Props – CJ Stroud Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

This Jaguars pass defense looked good last week but it was versus rookie Will Levis who only threw for 158 yards, but did get two passing touchdowns. The week prior, Brock Purdy had 296 yards and three TDs. Mitchell Trubisky had 138 yards and 1 TD before that and Derek Carr had 301 yards and one TD before that.

So looking at the last month, two backup quarterbacks have thrown for under 200 yards versus the Jags, while two starters have thrown for basically 300.

CJ Stroud clearly falls in the latter category and has been throwing all over teams of late. Stroud has combined for 1,162 yards and eight touchdowns in three straight wins for Houston.

Those passing yardage numbers by week are 336, 356 and 470 in those games. His passing prop for this week is set at 271.5 yards, a number he’s gone over in 6/10 games and a number the Jags’ secondary has given up in 6/10 games as well.

With eight passing TDs in three games and multiple TDs in 6/10 games as well, I think I’ll look at his TD prop total this week though instead.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: CJ Stroud Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-140); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 12 Rushing Props – Jerome Ford Over 48.5 Rushing Yards

The Vikings have struggled to run the ball all year and rank just 28th in rushing yards per game. But even they were able to run the ball all over this Broncos’ defense last week.

Alexander Mattison had 81 yards, Ty Chandler 73 and Joshua Dobba 21 and a score.

That sets up nicely for a Browns team this week that will likely need to get some production from the ground game and not put too much on DTR’s shoulders.

The only problem is deciding which running back to target. Jerome Ford leads Cleveland with 136 carries for 563 yards. But it’s Kareem Hunt who has the touchdown edge at 6-3.

Last week both backs got an equal 12 carries and each were equally unproductive versus Pittsburgh finishing with 36 (Hunt) and 31 yards (Ford). The week prior it was Ford getting the bulk of the carries with 17 for 107 yards though, while Hunt had ten for 32.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Jerome Ford Over 48.5 Rushing Yards (-125); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 12 Passing Props – Tank Dell Over 4.5 Receptions

Tank Dell was already having a good start to the season but in the past three weeks he’s really starting to heat up.

He’s seen double-digit targets from Stroud in each of those games and has caught 6, 6 and 8 catches most recently, for 114, 56 and 149 yards. He’s scored a touchdown in each of those three games for a total of four in that stretch.

All we’re asking for here is for Dell to make five or more catches in our Week 12 player props.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Tank Dell Over 4.5 Receptions (-130); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 12 Passing Props – Isaiah Likely 25+ Receiving Yards

With Mark Andrews likely done for the season, that means it’s Isaiah Likely stepping into the starting TE role for the Ravens.

The 2022 fourth round pick has seen limited action this season with only nine catches on 12 targets, but that will surely change in Week 12.

He should get a good matchup to settle into the starting role too, in the Chargers’ 32nd ranked pass defense. The 65 catches Los Angeles have given up to opposing tight ends is a league-high and the 675 yards allowed is ranked 31st overall.

Likely’s NFL props are set at 28.5 receiving yards but that is something we’ve only seen him do once this season. Granted, his production has been limited, but we’ll go a little safer and bet the alternate total at FanDuel of 25+ yards.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Isaiah Likely 25+ Receiving Yards (-152); risk 1 unit at FanDuel

Week 12 Passing Props – AJ Brown Over 81.5 Receiving Yards

After a blazing hot start to the year and a streak of six games where AJ Brown not only topped 100 yards receiving, but also 127 or more, Brown has cooled off in recent weeks. He was held basically entirely off the stat sheet on MNF against the Chiefs catching just 1/4 passes for 8 yards.

He was much more involved the week prior catching 7/9 passes but for only 66 yards versus the Cowboys.

This week Philadelphia gets another good matchup facing Buffalo. The total is set at 48.5 in the NFL lines, so oddsmakers are expecting this to be one of the higher scoring games on the slate.

And while on paper, it looks like a competitive game and it still may be, the Bills have struggled of late despite a 32-6 win over the Jets last week, winning just two of their past five games. They’re a woeful 1-6 ATS in their past seven and had allowed over 20 points in three of their four games prior to the Jets game.

This week they’re dealing with multiple injuries in the secondary with all of CBs Taron Johnson, Dane Jackson, Cam Lewis, SS Taylor Rapp and FS Micah Hyde questionable on the injury report.

It’s unlikely they all miss out, but it should still leave some extra space for Brown to bounceback with a big game.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: AJ Brown Over 81.5 Receiving Yards (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 12 Passing Props – Dalton Kincaid Over 49.5 Receiving Yards

Let’s stick in this Bills vs Eagles matchup for more Week 12 player props.

The Eagles’ pass defense is nothing special, and actually ranks among the worst in the league, giving up 248.1 YPG to rank 28th,

Against tight ends they’ve allowed 50 catches, 482 yards and 6 touchdowns. That averages out to five catches and 48.2 yards per game. Along with the Saints, Cowboys and Jets, the six touchdowns is a league-high.

Those averages fall right on where Kincaid’s receiving prop falls this week at 49.5 yards. But outside of last game where he finished with 46 yards, he would’ve exceeded this total in each of his previous four games with 51, 81, 65 and 75 yards.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Dalton Kincaid Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-120); risk 1 unti at DraftKings

Week 12 Touchdown Props – Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown

Mike Evans’ receiving yardage totals have bounced around all season and the last five games have been a good snap-shot of that — 82 yards, 39, 87, 143 and then 43 last week. He did find the endzone though last week which was the fourth time in those five games where he’s done so.

He also has seven total touchdowns on the year. Only two other receivers have multiple touchdowns for the Bucs and none have more than Cade Otton’s three.

The Colts had given up 20 or more points in each of their first eight games prior to holding the Panthers to 13 and the Patriots to 6 in recent weeks. The Bucs offense will put up more than that and Evans should be very much involved.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown (+140); risk 1 unit at DraftKings
