Week 4 of the NFL season begins Thursday night when the Cincinnati Bengals host the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Bengals are 2-1 after knocking off the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-10 on Sunday on the road as 2.5-point underdogs. The Jaguars (0-3) are still looking for their first win under new coach Urban Meyer after falling 31-19 to the Arizona Cardinals at home as 8-point underdogs.

The Sunday night game is extremely intriguing as Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the New England Patriots. It will be Brady’s first visit to Foxborough since leaving New England for Tampa Bay as a free agent.

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Chargers (2-1) host the Las Vegas Raiders.

Here is a look at the NFL Week 4 odds.

Bills Big Favorites

The biggest spread of the week is a whopping 16.5 points. That is what the Buffalo Bills (2-1) are favored by at home over the Houston Texans (1-2).

The Bills rolled to a 43-21 victory over the Washington Football Team on Sunday at home, easily covering the 7-point spread as Josh Allen threw four touchdown passes and scored another TD rushing.

Allen finished 32 of 43 for 358 yards. It marked Allen’s fifth career game with four TD and 300 yards passing, one more than the franchise record held by Hall of Famer Jim Kelly.

Allen’s 2-yard TD run in the fourth quarter was his 26th, breaking the team record for quarterbacks held by Jack Kemp.

On Thursday night, the Texans lost to the Carolina Panthers 24-9 at home as 8-point underdogs.

Rookie quarterback Davis Mills struggled in his first career start as he was sacked four times and held to 168 yards passing.

Mills was pressed into action after Tyrod Taylor suffered a hamstring injury the previous week and was placed on injured reserve.

Browns Slight Choices

The closest spread has the visiting Cleveland Browns (2-1) favored by 1 point over the Minnesota Vikings.

Myles Garrett recorded a franchise-record 4.5 sacks on Sunday to lead the Browns to a 26-6 win over the visiting Chicago Bears. The Browns had nine sacks of rookie Justin Fields in all, including two by Jadeveon Clowney.

The Browns allowed just 47 total yards and six first downs while covering the 7.5-point spread.

The Vikings (1-2) notched their first win of 2021, beating the Seahawks 30-17 at home as 2-point underdogs. Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes before halftime and guided three clock-draining field goal drives after that.

Alexander Mattison stepped in for the injured Dalvin Cook and racked up 171 total yards, rushing 18 times for 76 yards in the second half as the Vikings seized control with 23 straight points.

Highs and Lows

The Kansas City Chiefs-at-Philadelphia Eagles matchup has the highest over/under at 55 points.

The Chiefs are averaging 30.7 points scored a game and allowing 31.7. The Eagles’ averages are 21.5 and 11.5.

The lowest total is 43.5 for both the Indianapolis Colts’ game against the Dolphins at Miami and the New York Giants-Saints game in New Orleans.

The Colts are scoring 18.6 points a game and giving up 26.7 while the Dolphins are generating 15.0 and allowing 27.3.

The Giants’ averages are 18.6 and 24.7 while the Saints are averaging 24.3 and 14.0.

Movement on the Line

It’s easy to hate on the New York Jets, who fell to 0-3 when they were blanked 26-0 by the Broncos in Denver on Sunday. The Jets host the Titans (2-1) this upcoming week and Tennessee is coming off beating the visiting Indianapolis Colts 25-16.

The Titans are understandably favored but the 7.5-point spread seems a little high with the game being played in the Meadowlands. The Jets have a loyal – and frustrated – fan base and that line is likely to get bet down during the week.
