Wednesday evening, the Edmonton Oilers, who are in a fight for the Pacific Division crown, host a surprisingly pesky Coyotes team that is playing out the string. The Oilers have won eight of their last ten contests, while the Coyotes are 6-1-2 in their last nine affairs. Oil Country are six points back of the Golden Knights in the Pacific race, and they’re three points clear of Seattle for third in the division.
On the campaign, Edmonton is 40-23-8 for 88 points, while Arizona is 27-33-11 for 65 points. These two will play again on Monday, in Arizona.
The Oilers have won six of their last seven meetings against the Coyotes, including the one matchup this season, 8-2, way back in December. Read on for Coyotes vs Oilers analysis.

Arizona Coyotes Betting Analysis
Before Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to the Jets, the Coyotes had shown a measure of grit, going 6-0-2 on an eight-game stretch. However, all but one of those contests were at home, where Arizona is far superior, compared to their ghastly road record. The ‘Yotes are very strong on home ice at 20-11-3, but when they leave for a road trip, it’s not a pretty sight, as they’re 7-22-8, worst in the NHL.
Leon Draisaitl leads the NHL with 27 PPG this season.

Ivan Prosvetov is expected to be between the pipes tonight for the road squad, and he’s posted brilliant 3-0-0, 1.67 GAA and .952 save % numbers. However, those have come against the Predators, Canucks and Blackhawks, all non-playoff teams. He’ll be up against an Oilers team scoring 3.93 goals/game, best in the NHL.
For the campaign, Arizona is 27th in scoring and 24th in goals against. In five of their last six meetings with Edmonton, the Coyotes have surrendered at least five markers, resulting in five Oilers victories.
Edmonton Oilers Betting Analysis
Through the first half of the season, the Oilers won as many games as they’d lost (21-18-3), but since then, they’ve caught fire. Oil Country has followed that up with a scintillating 19-5-5 record, tied for the third most points in that span. They’ve scored at a whopping 4.55 goals/game clip, with the second-best team (Florida) at 3.83.

There are no superlatives worthy of describing just how flat out dominant Connor McDavid has been, racking up an otherworldly 136 points, 30 more than his closest pursuer (his teammate Leon Draisaitl). Their goaltending might be a potential bugaboo come playoff time, as only ten teams average more goals against in the league.
The Oilers have won ten of twelve against the West, and have won six of seven on one or more days rest. Arizona is 3-5-1 in the second half of back-to-back situations.
