  • NASCAR races on Memorial Day Weekend with the Coca-Cola 600 set to run on Sunday, May 28th, 2023, in Charlotte, NC
  • The contending favorites include William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Larson
  • Below are the Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte predictions, picks, and betting odds ahead of Sunday evening’s race

NASCAR roars its way into Charlotte, North Carolina, for the fourteenth race of the 2023 season. Charlotte Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile quad-oval with 24 degree banking in the turns and five degrees on the straights. The race distance totals 600 miles (400 laps). Which way will this track go Sunday night?

This weekend’s race is two weeks after the Sunday Goodyear 400 where William Byron benefitted from a late incident between Kyle Larson and Ross Chastain to score a big win. Larson was on the verge of the victory when disaster struck. In a twist, Chase Elliott finished third sandwiched by Kevin Harvick.

The table below lists the complete slate of NASCAR Cup Series odds for the Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte (win, podium finish, and top-five finish). Under the table, find the Kansas predictions and best bets for this weekend’s NASCAR action.

Kyle Larson enters this race yet again as a +450 favorite. However, five other contenders come in at +900 or shorter. Last week’s race was the All-Star race where Larson dominated. Could that occur again this weekend? Anything is possible.

NASCAR drivers get around the track with a 100-100-100-100 stage lap setup when the flag drops for the Sunday evening race beginning again around 6:00 pm ET on FOX.

Hendrick Versus Joe Gibbs

Wow, the Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver nailed it at North Wilkesboro. Unfortunately for Kyle Larson, it was not a points race. Now, Larson was in position this time. Then his car sealed the deal. Not even Bubba Wallace or Ty Gibbs could keep up with the No. 5 car. That was some ending even if it was anti-climatic. Charlotte has three different phases – sun, dusk, and night.

Yes, the Caesars Sportsbook come in with differences again. For one, Christopher Bell is only +900, but the trio of Stenhouse Jr., Briscoe, and Dillon all come in at +7500.  Watch out for Ty Gibbs at +6000.

2020* – Was the infamous rain delayed race that still needed overtime on Monday afternoon. 2022 saw the race take more than five hours after 13 laps of overtime and numerous wrecks late.

Do Not Count Out Toyota

While Totoya is considered a bit of a favorite (won three of the past five races), do they get enough championship love? What do we mean? NASCAR Cup Series odds still rides with Chevy (three of the top four drivers now). That is led by Kyle Larson and William Byron. Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell figure to contend at Charlotte and for the championship. Ty Gibbs and Bubba Wallace are ones to monitor for this race.

Correlation is intriguing. We call it unique because of the length of the race. Drivers that are used to the strain thrive along with a durable car.

Practice begins Saturday evening with a 45-minute session. Saturday qualifying begins at 7:50 pm ET. Expect one potentially major problem.

Coca-Cola 600 from Charlotte Predictions & Picks

So, Saturday and Sunday look wet with periods of rain. Monday may see better conditions. One has been warned with a potential coastal storm.

Metrics could be a possibility and even Monday temperatures will only be in the lower to mid 70’s.

Can Kyle Larson and William Larson tame the Toyotas of Hamlin, Wallace, and company?

Again, the weather does not look good! Hopefully, it changes. For head-to-head driver matchups, wait to see what conditions look like for Sunday and potentially Monday.

Here are our best bets:

  • Top Pick: Denny Hamlin to Win (+700)
  • Other Contenders: Kyle Larson (+450), Martin Truex Jr. (+850), Christopher Bell (+1100), William Byron (+600)
  • Longshots:  Daniel Suarez (+3000), Bubba Wallace (+2000), Ty Gibbs (+6000)
