They are looking to complete their fifth domestic Spanish double of the past 10 seasons after completing the feat in 2008-09, 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2017-18.
Barca’s supremacy in their homeland will not fully compensate after the shock of their defeat by Liverpool in the last four of the Champions League, which stunned world football.
Their dominance means they have eclipsed their major rivals in Spain this season with Real Madrid finishing third and failing to land any major silverware.

Even so, their supremacy in their homeland will not fully compensate after the shock of their defeat by Liverpool in the last four of the Champions League, which stunned world football.
After winning the first-leg 3-0 at Camp Nou, they were beaten 4-0 at Anfield in one of the competition’s great comebacks by the English side.
Coach Valverde Under Pressure
The completion of the double is now the very least expected of coach Ernesto Valverde and even that may not be enough to save his job in the summer.
Valencia are in their first Copa del Rey final since they defeated Getafe 3-1 in 2007-08. In all, they have won the competition seven times.
They are hoping to land their first piece of silverware since they recovered from a turbulent period in the middle of this decade when they were hit by debts and regular managerial changes.

Stylish End to La Liga Campaign

Now they are looking to seal the revival by winning a major prize. They are also looking to soothe the disappointment of their exit from the Europa League’s semifinals against Arsenal.
They will be missing striker Luis Suarez who is their second leading scorer this season with 25 goals. He scored twice in the second-leg defeat of Real Madrid. But he has since undergone knee surgery.
They reached Saturday’s final by defeating Real Betis in a two-legged semi-final. After a 2-2 draw in Seville at the stadium where this weekend’s final will be played, they won 1-0 at their Mestella home in Valencia.
Barcelona scored a stunning 3-0 semifinal second leg victory against Real Madrid in their Santiago Bernabeu Stadium HQ after a 1-1 first leg draw at Camp Nou.
