Over/Under and Spread

The over is relatively juiced for the City-Liverpool game at -148 because it’s been hit in three meetings in a row.

Man City vs Liverpool Prediction

For the third time this term, City and Liverpool battle it out. The first two encounters ended in 2-2 draws and there should be no shortage of fireworks once again.

The Citizens just sneaked past Atletico mid-week in the Champions League to book their spot in the semifinals. Last Sunday was also their fun-filled stalemate with the Merseysiders. Pep Guardiola’s side come into this match on a 10-game unbeaten run, but there were several draws during that span. The Sky Blues lacked firepower in the final third in Madrid and that will need to change in a hurry here.

The Reds also progressed to the last four of the UCL on Wednesday, beating Benfica 6-4 on aggregate. Jurgen Klopp decided to rest numerous starters, although he was forced to bring on Mo Salah and Sadio Mane in the second half. Liverpool has now won five of their previous seven outings, with the last two ending in draws.

This is just the first FA Cup meeting between these two clubs since 2003. Obviously, there isn’t a lot separating City and Liverpool, but honestly, Klopp’s men are in slightly better form and showed a lot more capability up top mid-week. The Citizens have been in the final so many times, but I think the Merseysiders will edge them out this time around.

Pick: Liverpool +180

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace Odds

Matchup Moneyline
Chelsea -167
Crystal Palace +510
Draw +285

The Blues are a heavy -167 favorite, which is no surprise. They’ve defeated Palace in nine straight games, all in league action.

Over/Under and Spread

The over is going to hold tremendous value here as it was hit in four of the last five games between the two London outfits. Chelsea is also sitting at +105 odds at a -1 spread, winning by three goals in three of the previous four clashes.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace Prediction

Thomas Tuchel’s side will be looking to build off an inspiring yet heartbreaking performance in the Champions League on Tuesday where Real Madrid eliminated them in extra time.

Chelsea showed serious guts, fighting back from a 3-1 first-leg deficit to go up 3-0 in the return fixture before allowing Los Blancos to equalize and send the fixture to an additional 30 minutes. Nevertheless, the Blues made a statement on what would’ve been one of the greatest European nights ever. The side is also coming off a 6-0 thrashing of Southampton last weekend, with Mason Mount and Timo Werner both netting a brace.

Crystal Palace is actually enjoying a respectable campaign, currently sitting in 10th spot in the Premier League table. Prior to a 2-1 defeat to Leicester on Sunday, the Eagles were riding a seven-game unbeaten streak, including a 4-0 win over Everton in the FA Cup quarterfinals. They were last in the final in 2016, but Patrick Viera’s side has never won the competition.

I frankly don’t see Chelsea losing to Palace, a team they’ve dominated in recent memory. Also, the Blues denied permission of loanee Conor Gallagher to play against them on Sunday, which is a huge blow to the Eagles’ attack. Take Chelsea.

Pick: Chelsea -167
