Italian Serie A front-runner Napoli has a 2-0 lead in this last 16 contest following the first leg in Germany and are favored in the Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt odds in leg 2 as well.

Furthermore, it is one of the most in-form sides in Europe after winning nine of its last 10 league matches to lead Serie A by 18 points from second-placed AC Milan.

It also has a striker enjoying an excellent run with Nigerian Victor Osimhen scoring in the first leg of this tie – and nine times in his last 10 Serie A appearances.

Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt faces a tough task to recover in the second leg.

It is also struggling for form after winning only one of its last five matches in Germany’s Bundesliga.

Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt Preview

Napoli’s stunning domestic form has put it on course to win its first Italian title since 1990.

After 26 games, it has won 22 times, drawn twice and lost just twice – leading the table since Round Six last Autumn.

It won 2-0 at home against Atalanta last weekend.

With a two-goal first-leg deficit, Eintracht Frankfurt’s task is also made more daunting by Napoli’s home record – with 11 wins, one draw and only one defeat in Serie A.

Moreover, Napoli won its first five UCL group stage games to lead the table ahead of Liverpool.

It scored 20 times in the group stage while conceding only six goals.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s statistics are not nearly as impressive.

At present, it sits in sixth place in the Bundesliga. But it has drawn its last two games with a 1-1 result in its last outing at home against Stuttgart last weekend.

It finished second in its UCL group behind Tottenham Hotspur with a record of three wins, one draw and two defeats.

However, it scored only seven goals while conceding eight.

Victor Osimhen to Score Odds

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has scored no fewer than 19 times in 22 Serie A appearances this season. He also has two UCL goals.

So it is clear to see why he is the wide favorite to score in this tie at -110 – or at +275 to score first or last.

He is followed in the odds by his Argentina team-mate Giovanni Simeone, who has three Serie A goals – but has been on target four times in the UCL. He is priced at +150 to score.

Napoli’s impressive Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has 11 Serie A goals and two UCL goals and is also priced at +150 to score.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s leading scorer is the Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada who has 13 goals this season. But he is rated well down the odds at +400.

Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt History

Before the first leg meeting, these teams previously collided in the old UEFA Cup – now the Europa League – in 1994.

There was a 1-0 last-16 win in Germany for Eintracht Frankfurt. Following that, the Germans won again 1-0 in Naples.
