Leeds United vs Tottenham Prediction

Two struggling clubs lock horns on Saturday as Leeds host Tottenham at Elland Road. Marcelo Bielsa’s side is winless in five games and has lost back-to-back fixtures in disappointing fashion. Liverpool put six past Leeds on Wednesday in a truly embarrassing performance and last weekend, the Peacocks were beaten 4-2 by Manchester United. The squad is currently just three points above safety and desperately needs a positive result here.

Spurs aren’t faring much better lately, losing four of their previous six matches. About the only bright spot during this span was a thrilling 3-2 victory over league leaders Man City last weekend, with Harry Kane scoring a winner in the dying minutes of injury time.

However, Antonio Conte’s men couldn’t replicate that performance on Wednesday, falling to relegation-threatened Burnley thanks to a Ben Mee header in the second half off a set-piece. Currently in eighth place and seven points off a UCL spot, a victory on the road is an absolute must as their European aspirations slowly slip away.

Tottenham has just two wins to show for in their last 13 games away at Leeds and both of them were in 1996 and 2004, respectively. Also, the hosts did beat Spurs 3-1 on home soil last term. Despite Leeds’ poor form right now, I think you’re going to see them respond after two forgettable defeats.

Pick: Leeds +280

Brighton vs Aston Villa Prediction

Brighton, who is currently in the top half, meets Aston Villa on Saturday at the Amex Stadium in Premier League Matchday 27. The Seagulls have actually been a pleasant surprise in 2021/22, sitting in ninth place. However, Graham Potter’s men are in poor form as of late, losing to Burnley and Manchester United in consecutive outings. In the process, Brighton has failed to score while conceding five times. The side has only netted 10 goals in 12 Premier League home games as well.

Villa isn’t playing all that well either, tasting defeat in back-to-back games. Last Saturday, bottom of the table Watford snagged three points away from the Lions behind a second-half Dennis Bonaventure winner. Steven Gerrard’s squad actually dominated possession and had a total of 20 shots, but just one found the target. In fact, their attack is rather toothless right now just like Brighton, failing to net across the last two games.

Villa ran out as 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and are unbeaten in five against the Seagulls on the road. However, four of these meetings ended level. Given the form of both teams, there’s a good chance they share the spoils again.

Pick: Draw +230

West Ham vs Wolves Prediction

Hungry for a top-four spot, West Ham clash with Wolves on Sunday at the London Stadium. But, David Moyes’ group isn’t playing great football at the moment, notching one win in their previous five Premier League games. On Matchday 26, the Hammers played to a 1-1 draw with a new and improved Newcastle outfit.

Craig Dawson scored the opener, but Joe Willock responded just before the halftime whistle as the second period was rather quiet on action. West Ham will be confident though, having throttled Wolves 4-0 in this exact fixture last term.

Wolverhampton finds themselves just two points off a European placing and with a victory here, they would leapfrog the Hammers. Bruno Lage’s side secured two impressive victories against Tottenham and Leicester earlier in the month, but then succumbed to a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat versus Arsenal on Thursday due to a Jose Sa own goal from an Alexandre Lacazette effort. They’ve also lost two of their last three meetings with West Ham, which is certainly not a good sign.

West Ham is enjoying no shortage of success against Wolves in recent memory. They’ll pull through on Sunday and grab a much-needed three points on Premier League Matchday 27.

Pick: West Ham +110
