Serie A Matchday 38 should be an absolute doozy, with a ton still on the line. AC Milan and Inter Milan are fighting tirelessly for the Scudetto, with the Rossoneri currently two points ahead of their city rivals.

When it comes to the Europa and Conference League spots, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina, and Atalanta are all in the mix heading into the final weekend. Lastly in the relegation battle, Salernitana Calcio and Cagliari continue to tussle for 17th spot and the opportunity to remain in the top flight.

Torino vs Roma Prediction

Torino hosts Roma on Friday in a very important fixture for the visitors in Serie A Matchday 38. Currently, in sixth place, a victory here can guarantee Jose Mourinho’s side a spot in the Europa League next term, but it could be through the qualifying stage depending on the outcome. That being said, if Roma beat Feyenoord in the Conference League final on May 25th, the side would automatically be in the Europa group stages.

Roma’s domestic form has been poor as of late though, going winless in five games. Mourinho’s group played to a disappointing 1-1 draw with Venezia last Saturday as Eldor Shomurodov salvaged a point with a late equalizer.

Torino meanwhile remains in the middle of the pack in 10th place and has played rather well across the last month. Ivan Juric’s men secured a 1-0 victory on the weekend at Hellas Verona and have only tasted defeat once in their previous eight matches.

Roma ran out as 1-0 winners in the reverse fixture against Torino, but the hosts did secure the three points in this game on home soil in the 2020-21 campaign. A lot more is at stake for Roma though and I think you’ll see them turn up before competing in the Conference League final.

Pick: Roma +110

Fiorentina vs Juventus Prediction

A struggling Fiorentina side will be looking to potentially book their spot in Europa as they welcome Juventus to town on Saturday. The Viola are in dreadful form at the moment, going 1-0-4 in their last five outings. Monday was a crushing 4-1 defeat at the hands of 15th place Sampdoria, who ran riot on Vincenzo Italiano’s squad. Fiorentina did beat Roma a week prior though and will need to be at their absolute best against Juve this weekend.

Although they’re not in the mix for the Scudetto this season, the Old Lady is back in the Champions League next term and has already secured fourth spot in the Serie A table, regardless of the result here. Juventus played to a 2-2 draw with Lazio on Matchday 37 but did lose back-to-back games before that to Inter in the Coppa Italia final and to Genoa in league action.

While both sides aren’t in great form, Fiorentina has lost 11 of their last 16 games against Juve. There is so much value in the visitors’ moneyline here. Viola’s poor form will continue.

Pick: Juventus +320

Salernitana vs Udinese Prediction

An improving Salernitana team can officially stave off relegation with a victory against Udinese in Serie A Matchday 38. The Serie A new boys haven’t exactly done that well in their first season in the top flight in 23 years, but they’ve really impressed as of late. Salernitana is riding a seven-game unbeaten run, most recently playing to a 1-1 draw with Empoli courtesy of a 75th-minute equalizer from Federico Bonazzoli.

Udinese on the other hand is struggling to find results. Despite sitting comfortably in 12th spot, The White and Blacks have tasted defeat twice in their last three games to Inter and most recently, Spezia Calcio. There was no shortage of goals and Udinese almost completed the comeback after being down 3-1 but couldn’t find an equalizer.

Given their recent form, Salernitana is a heavy favorite here. So much is at stake for them and they also won the reverse fixture back in April. I believe the hosts will pull through and save themselves from being sent down to Serie B.

Pick: Salernitana -141
