Sevilla vs Juventus Over/Under and Spread

With the tipping point set at 2.5 goals in the game, the bookies have listed the under at -145 and the over at a more tempting +120. They anticipate a tight, low-scoring tie.

Sevilla vs Juventus Preview

Sevilla are unquestionably the kings of the Europa League, having won it six times, and have put themselves in a great position to have a shot at winning it for a record seventh time.

Despite conceding that late equalizer in Turin, after Youssef En-Nesyri had given them a first-half lead, Sevilla can take comfort from their outstanding record at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, where they have advanced from each of their last nine two-legged ties where they have been at home in the second leg. Also at home, they have won 24 of their last 27 Europa League games.

Europa Success but Domestic Struggles for Sevilla

While it has been another exceptional season for Los Rojiblancos in Europe, domestically they have struggled and are, in fact, on their third head coach of the season!

Luckily for them, coach number three, Jose Luis Mendilibar, has turned around their fortunes and, in addition to taking them to this semifinal, has steered them away from La Liga’s relegation zone and into the safety of tenth place in La Liga. A win here for Sevilla would be their eighth in their last 12 games.

Juve’s Chaotic Season

It’s been a typically chaotic and controversial season for Juve who were originally hit with a 15-point deduction for financial mismanagement only for it to be overturned on appeal. As a result, they are back up to second place in Serie A, albeit 14 points adrift of champions, Napoli, although they face further charges later this month.

So, no Serie A title for the Old Lady and they were controversially knocked out of the Coppa Italia at the semifinal stage by Inter, which leaves the Europa League as their only possible chance of winning silverware this season.

Nice Run of Form for The Old Lady

Federico Gatti’s dramatic 97th-minute equalizer for Juve in the first leg may prove crucial in a Europa League run that has also seen them beat Nantes, Freiburg, and Sporting CP, and despite all of the off-field troubles, they have also hit a nice little run of domestic form with three consecutive Serie A wins.

Max Allegri’s team are currently eight points clear of fifth-placed AC Milan – other charges pending – with only three rounds of games left, so as things stand look well-placed for a place in next season’s Champions League.

Sevilla vs Juventus Prediction

Two things worth noting: this is not a Juve team of the quality we have become used to and off-field problems have had an effect on the pitch, and this Sevilla team is by some distance the most successful ever in this competition.

Together with the not-to-be-underestimated Sanchez-Pizjuan factor, the value here, with Sevilla in plus money, is with the home win.

Sevilla vs Juventus Pick: Sevilla to win (+150)
