Heading into the match, the moneyline odds lead us to believe that it could really go either way.

Krejcikova Wins Eight Straight

With her win over American Alycia Parks, Krejcikova earned a spot in her third semifinal of the year, and collected her eighth straight win.

The 26-year old ended Parks’ career-best run when she won 7-6(7), 6-3. Krejcikova had to save a set point in the first set, which could’ve changed the entire outcome of the match, should she have not done that. Parks helped Krejcikova out a bit as the American was unable to find her serve at times, recording nine double faults.

Krejcikova will once again look for the crowd to be on her side, especially now that she is the last Czech player standing in the tournament.

Rybakina Takes Down Petra Kvitova

It was the battle of Wimbledon champions earlier today as Rybakina took on Kvitova in their first career meeting. Rybakina, the reigning Wimbledon champion collected her 36th main-draw win, when she defeated hometown favorite, Kvitova 7-6(5), 6-4.

The semifinalist recorded 31 winners to just six unforced errors, and Kvitova had a strong, tight game as well with 26 winners and 12 unforced errors.

Playing against a hometown favorite and the crowd doesn’t end in the quarterfinals for Rybakina, as her semifinal opponent, Krejcikova will also have the crowd behind her as well.

First Meeting of 2022
This will be the first time Krejcikova and Rybakina will have played each other in 2022. But the two did face each other back in 2021 at the Melbourne 500 Grampians Trophy tournament. They saw each other in the Round of 16, where unseeded Krejcikova defeated fourth seed Rybakina in three sets.

Krejcikova vs Rybakina Pick

Something that might factor into this match is Krejcikova has spent significantly less time on the court this week. Having spent just over three hours playing matches should allow her to be very well rested heading into the semis. Her Round of 16 walkover against Belinda Bencic helps her.

Rybakina on the other hand has played close to seven hours, as she saw her first two matches go three sets, when she had to piece together comebacks after dropping the first set in both.

Krejcikova will also look to have the crowd behind her, which is something that can always play into a match.

But both players have the tools to win the match, so look for this to be a tight three set semifinal.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 sets (+143)
