DC Defenders vs Seattle Sea Dragons Picks

It’s a battle of two teams that rank in the top-4 of the XFL Championship odds.

The Dragons are cruising, whipping Arlington 24-15 for their fifth-straight win. Ben DiNucci threw for 266 yards, with one TD pass and one interception. He leads the league in passing with 1,771 but he does also top the X with nine INTs.

Jordan Veasy caught three passes for 79 yards, while Josh Gordon had three grabs for 43 yards and a score.

Their passing game will go against DC’s power run game. They rank first in the league in rushing yards with 1,181 in seven games, an X-best 4.8 yards per tote, and 13 TD’s. To put that into context, every other team in the XFL has yet to cross 680 rush yards.

Abram Smith was huge in the 37-36 loss to Orlando, running for 127 yards on 18 carries with a TD.

However, the most anticipated runner will be newly-inked Sea Dragon Phillip Lindsay. The Pro-Bowl back and 12th all-time leading rusher in Denver Broncos history adds yet another layer of intrigue into this biggie.

Pick: Over 46.5 (-110)

St Louis Battlehawks vs Vegas Vipers Picks

The other team jockeying for a top-2 spot in the North are the Battlehawks, who are coming off a 24-15 win over the first-place Houston Roughnecks.

AJ McCarron threw for 222 yards and three TD’s, while Darrius Shepherd hauled in seven balls for 70 yards and a score. The St Louis defense was solid in Week 7, recording nine tackles for loss two sacks and an interception.

After dropping three of four, Vegas beat San Antonio 26-12, to pick up their second win of the season. Jalan McClendon got the start at pivot and delivered on 21-for-31 passing for 264 yards and two TD’s.

Even an end-of-season surge won’t help, as the Vipers are already out of the playoff chase.

St Louis has already beaten Vegas, 29-6 in Week 6.

Pick: Battlehawks -7 (-115)

Arlington Renegades vs Orlando Guardians Picks

This was not quite a masterpiece the first time these teams met, when Arlington pulled out a 10-9 win in Week 3. Kyle Sloter was the winning QB that week, throwing for 124 yards and a score.

Orlando was trotting out Paxton Lynch at QB that game, but they may have found their best option at pivot in their upset win over previously unbeaten DC last week. Quinten Dormady threw for 328 yards and three scores as Orlando won 37-36, to pick up their first W of the year.

Arlington hasn’t been able to crack the 22-point mark in any game this season, but Orlando should bring enough offensive punch to take this over the top.

Pick: OVER 40 points (-110)

Houston Roughnecks vs San Antonio Brahmas Picks

Since ripping off a 4-0 start, the Roughnecks have dropped three straight, the latest a 24-15 decision to St Louis.

They’ll try to take down San Antonio a second time, after downing them 22-13 in Week 3.

The game will feature two of the better defenses in the X: the Roughnecks lead the league in sacks (23) and are fifth in tackles for loss (37). San Antonio is tied for third in sacks with 18, while leading the league with 52 tackles for loss.

Offense may be an issue though, as the Brahmas will feature a different QB starting than the last time for the fifth straight week. Jack Coan gets his first start since Week 4.

Pick: UNDER 40 (-110)
