New Hampshire Sports Betting

New Hampshire Sports Betting at a Glance

The Granite State became the 16th state to legalize sports betting in the US. In a show of true support, the New Hampshire Governor placed the first legal sports bet on December 30, 2019, on the New England Patriots.

In New Hampshire, sports betting is regulated by the New Hampshire Lottery Commission, which chose DraftKings to be the sole operator of the state’s first betting app. They are also the only operator licensed to offer online sports betting in the state right now.

Revenues from the state lottery go towards supporting New Hampshire’s Education Trust Fund. The increased revenue from retail sports betting will likely drive the state to launch in-person betting sooner rather than later. Check out our New Hampshire revenue page, for all the latest updates on that state’s sports betting figures. Interestingly, as New York online sports betting is not yet available, New Hampshire actually generates more gaming revenue than the Empire State.

Berlin, Claremont, Laconia, Manchester, and Somersworth were the first cities to vote to allow sports betting online in their areas. The expectation is that as many as ten retail gambling parlors could be launching in these cities soon.

Currently, DraftKings offers in-person sports betting at the following retail locations in Seabrook and Manchester:

  • The Brook
  • Filotimo Casino & Restaurant

New Hampshire residents who enjoy travel can also check out these thriving sports betting markets elsewhere in the Northeast:

None of the three states that border New Hampshire (Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont) currently allow legal sports wagering.
